ok, heres the dealio. I reinstalled haloce 12 times so far(litereally). Bungie, mine, and custom maps fail to load. I cannot join games. WHAT IN THE FAT GRUNTS NAME CAN I DO?! Please help. Thank you.

You have not suppled enough information for anyone to guess much less help.

1) What errors do you receive?
2) what is the symptom? Exactly
3) What OS are you using?
4) What video card do you have - is it supported?

Ok ok, What I had to do was delete Halo CE and then download the thing again.
My Halo CE did not have CAROUSEL!
You MUST have that in your map folder or else ever game you try to join, you get an exception.
As Dennis said, please give more information.
I think what I said might be what happened to you.
I'm not sure since you didn't say anything much....
Something in your map folder must have been deleted.

in order of dennis's question, this is what happened

i couldn't make a server, and i couldn't join games, takes too long/wont let me load map

i am running windows xp pro sp2

Not true. I dont have any of the default maps in my folder and it runs fine. No exceptions. Only untill you try to play it without it in your map folder. I have only custom maps in it because if I wanted to play bloodgulch Ill play Halo PC.

EDIT: Also, i just reinstalled halo combat evolved, and it STILL doesnt work...even with carousel(which doesnt do anything cause i had it removed before when my halo ce was still working

No you dont have to have PC to run Halo CE, you just need a proof of purchase CD key

this totally stinks.. i dont know whats wrong, i installed halopc, haloce, upgraded, searched for viruses, NOTHING!!! PLEASE DENNIS!!! HELP!!!! please?

Are you using the crack without the CD?

From your post I can not determine what your symptoms are.

Can you start the game and get to the lobby? Can you get a server list? can you join a server running one of teh standard maps? Are you getting errors what are they. So far you have not tols me anything but it doesn't work. Which is sort of like saying my car won't go forward. Read:

What exactly doesn't work. Because if its all about your multiplayer. Like joining and Hosting then the problem is that your firewall is blocking it from having internet connection. Because if you BOUGHT Halo PC then it should be fine.

never mind, i got it working. unfortunately, my internet connections have funny the past few days, and my ports were changed previously, so i got it working.
