In 3ds if i make a material reflective will it apply to Halo?

Or do i need to do it by the shader?

in a shader, BEFORE you build the BSP tag with tool, check dynamic mirror. then when compiling it, if you get a "couldn't alcolate final cluster mirror" or something similar to that, it means you have to many mirrors.
