How do I fix open edges because I can't compile my scenery until its fixed. Also I'm running 3dsmax 2008

Nevermind that you could find answers to common questions like this with search...

Import the wrl from the ce folder. The imported geometry will clue you in

common causes:
Edges that are actually open in the mesh.
In edge mode, click "Select Open Edges". If any are selected, they must be dealt with to seal the mesh, as if to make it air tight, by welding, collapsing vertices, or creating faces

Faces with render only material applied
If the material for a Material ID of some faces has "!" in it's name, faces with that material are not included in the collision geometry. Same effect as deleting those faces
Change the material's name, or the face's material id to another id

Search the 3ds reference for terms you don't understand
