Update: Map is now out and all is waiting upon Dennis to put on the site!


I Very much feel like bumping this up... Apologies Dennis However,but I feel the need to tell that a year after RPG4 Initially started, Work on RPG5 started 1 week ago. Result? Citadel of Québec (Frigate) now has an interior and it's huge. I'm not releasing much on it but say it's much bigger than the POAs... Other reason for posting this. Gibbo and Terrel are not part of this project, this time around. Contact me on xFire at OpsY if you can help. This time we hope to be more careful with our Alpha tests( but this time we use a name that won't be blocked by halomaps for test builds).

Help needed for:
-Making RP Scenery Items( chairs, computers, Co2 Tanks ETC...)
-Modelling Vehicles
-Tagging Vehicles(Includes Condor LMT and Condor Heavy Carrier)
-Various Modelling

As Promised, an update on this January 28th.

Right now I'm at Alpha 30th. I modelled some scenery for the inside, including Air tanks( Life support system) and part of what will be the MAC Firing room aswell as Archer pods bays.

I've done other things but we're keeping things secret especially when there's a chance they won't actually make it in the final version. Next monday I hope to have a more extensive coverage considering chances are that the frigate will be nearing completion and that some people that have offered to tag some stuff would supposedly have finished their duties.

It's not nearly as detailed tho ( 1 POA section is 70K polygon while the ship is 5000 right now)

Of course it's not a Ripped RPG4-4... the ONLY thing it shares with RPG4 is the Citadel, the UNSC FFG-099 frigate but now it has interior.

All of the vehicles should have names assigned to them in sapien so that they can be spawned by the host whenever the hell they are needed. I did not like the lack of this in other RPG Betas because that would cripple my roleplays :-/.

The help we need is mostly Tagging and Sceneryf but also for the ground BSP. I'm still working on the Ship itself which requires alot of work on it's own since it needs alot of population( scenery, custom turrets and such).

As for gameplay, it depends what we mean by gameplay right. Adding ships that shoot auto nuke launchers is definatly not doing anything to adress that. Placing Markers and such to make part of the ship playable in Slayer and CTF, is different. As with some stuff in Halo 3, we can decide to seal off parts of the map by adding closed doors that spawn only on certain game types to allow for some CTF. The problem however is that if we seal off dangerous items to allow Slayer and CTF, we have to use a race type game type which most users won't think about using. I don't intend to use any rigged stuff either such as nuke launchers and tactical bombs available for everyone to mess with.

No idea how to do this...I know they used a loop attach/respawn script for the hoover bike but for spawn points i doubt it's possible.. Besides the frigate is not a ship, it's part of the BSP.

Yeah. I thought about that... Problem is that is there's a ''Scenery draco'' floating in the air and no risking to fall, it just looks gay. When however it is you that teleport it up, it's fine so.... Of course However there's one good thing to this: the CoQ IS Flying in mid air and has many rooms.

Citadel of Québec is indeed the ship in RPG4. It has the same exterior as In Amber Clad for some technical reasons( first beeing it's never been done before and second, a cruiser hovering mid air defies many law of physics) and of course it's not drivable. More into that later

The fact that it's about 1/4th the size of the map might have something to do with it.
