Everyone and their spikers and snipers, does no one care about the shotgun?
Also, I don't model, but it looks pretty high poly, do you have a polycount?

The only reason I don't really care is because they're practicing modeling, maybe to major in it or have it as a job. I do really care that they have no creativity in there work though.

The thing that sticks outward on the scope (the part you look into) needs to be mirrored.

the scope is actually ok for the fp model, the back, no. wayyyyyy to high poly. achieve the screws by using primatives mashed into the model and take all the little bumps off the back. those.... well they WOULD be achieved by bump maps, but we dont have those...
looks very nice though

Actually I noted some things on the longsword that were not on your model... or at least from what I could see.

It was those two tips extending from the front of the wings just a little ways out from the cockpit.

anyway, I doubt that longsword would be any good in game because there would be no good cockpit or anything unless you worked on that model a LOT more :P.

as far as the sniper goes, I want to see this thing get done :).

no do not even think about putting this ingame omfg... yeah, in a box map with a box for a biped, it might work. throw it into any detailed map, ur toast. and dont forget about more than one of them >_>

It will never hurt to test and see. Then maybe he could remove unneeded details and try again if he ever wanted to play it ingame.

actually its only 9k polies which can get ingame. Not to mention high poly weps dont lag as bad as high poly maps. also Lods shout help abit. Also scope is wrong.

you should make a modeling tut =p I kinda wished i could model that high poly. but I use basic modeling for my stuff.
