My Campaign has pretty much nothing to do with the original halo story but still has elements of it.the story starts off with spartan 113 and you have to attack a covenant stronghold and recieve information from a hostage and then theres more i will tell you later on the only other thing im mentioning is that you will play as 2 other spartans besides 113

So it's Call of Duty style, as in, you play as different soldiers, and you get information from prisonors, like in Call of Duty 1 when you rescue a British Captain (Cpt Price) and a Major (Major Ingram). Hey, I've just been playing Call of Duty 1/United Offensive lately, don't blame me.

ya thats were i got the idea from because ive been playing alot of call of duty 3 and i was like that seems like a pretty cool idea

by the way have you heard of any scarab driving ai because i want to have a scarab at the end of one of the maps and you have to use a aircraft to destroy it because trying to make it like h3 would just be a pain in the but

I'm not sure, I don't think anyone's done AI in a scarab, I only know _TheArbiter_ tried but the elite didn't want to get in it, no matter what. What's wrong with driving tanks, or shooting a turret at it? No warthog, because it's either you drive, and the marine has no idea what to shoot, or you gun and the marine still doesn't know what to do.

This reminds me of COD4... there must be a connection of the missions in the series.

And no, there hasn't been any sucess in making ai play 'smart'.

well theres always just having a huge vehiclar battle with the tank or warthog

Down to business, questions:
1) What weapons will be in the campaign?
2) Any idea for a BSP? (Level design, terrain, ect.)
3) What planet/giant object in space?
4) What can you do as an individual in mapping?
5) Do you need to form a team or anything?
6) What custom material, or anything that you made or someone in your 'future team,' will you use or have?

1.)im thinking of modifiying original weapons such as the pistol and assualt rifle and add a couple h2 weapons and maybe 2 or 3 custom weapons

2.)well for the first level i want the setting to be a rocky desert area with a couple of dunes and hills for cover

3.)Earth and on a covenant capitol ship

4.)i mainly good at modeling structures and objects so im going to see if i can find someone to help me with modeling the bsp because i can barely model a decent bsp

5.)probably since it wont just be one short map what im mainly looking for is a good texturer,1 or 2 more modelers,and someone that is pretty good at making cutscenes because some of the cutscenes i have planed our as long as 2-6 minutes long

6.)im not so sure of that at the current moment right now basicly now i jus want to get the layout and then the content

You wouldn't need new bones and rigging, you'd just need to re-animate it, or somehowmod the pre-existing animations.
I wonder if a biped can use suspension

ok thats not exactly easy, but its not nearly as hard. first off you dont need to reanimate anything, but you do need to mess with the animation tag and make a new biped tag

well im not that great with animations if it was making a ai for it than that would be easy for me but animating is a whole nother story
