I be playing Halo and suddenly I get this gathering exception data... what does that mean?

Well, which map were you playing, and what happened in the map before you got the exception? The exception data message basically just means that Halo crashed. It could have been caused by anything.

sometimes halo crashes just beacuse the game restarted when you have the halo ce dev on. just turn it off before the game restarts and you should be fine (if this is your problem)
