not really sure what it is but ever since i installed halo ce on my new vista pc the chat hasn't shown up

This happened to me when I first installed Halo. It has to do with C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\redist\msxmlenu.msi" because thats what it was for me.

Try installing msxmlenu.msi. I had this problem and I was told to install that and it worked.
