Hey, wtf did you copy my av quote for?

You spelled existence wrong too! That's going too far.

And don't give me any bs about having it before I did.
Edited by Scorpio on Jun 13, 2008 at 06:13 PM

You lie. Your's was (after I changed mine) "Come to the dark side, we got cookies."

Yeah, ok. So you're saying I stole yours?

Shut up, I don't care about a meaningless quote. I have no video requests so far though.

First: Burn.

Second: On topic people. ODX is going to help me with vids that need more than one person to operate.

With an attitude like that who would want to be your mother?

I don't believe I was talking to you. So please, stay out of matters that do not concern you.

First: Burn.

Hardly.

As much as I would like to continue arguing with you, I have to go somewhere soon. I am asking nicely: please, just change your quote. I know that I had it first, and so do you. So please, let's end this. I'm getting tired of it.

Even ODX agrees with me. The quote was mine first, change yours. And better yet, stop being a prick about it. Again, do not post this on this topic, use the PM system.

Devmode is nothing special to me, but then again I like to preset everything before going into a game.lol. It's a habit.

Easy to lie on the internet, isn't it?

Anyway, arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics: even if you win, you're still retarded. Still, I will do as you say, and "use the PM system."

And where did ODX agree with you? I'm not seeing it anywhere.

PM him then. And another thing, stop posting in this topic if you have NOTHING to do with dev. Seriously though, the fact you are making a big deal out of a quote is ridiculous. Grow up.

Fine. Show me how to ban people then.

And I just don't like things being stolen from me. Wheather it's something as simple as an idea for a quote or something like an iPod, it still pisses me off.

Banning:

sv_ban <playerID> - Bans the player from the server. It makes him unable to join again.

sv_kick <playerID> - Kicks the player from the server.

Those are more console commands. This topic is supposed to demonstrate the commands that are usedin developer mode.

Check my xfire profile for videos showing me screwing around with the unit_set_scale command, one including a giant falling corpse (which was me).

How do you find out what the player's ID is?

EDIT: Pretty sure we got the quote thing worked out, sorry for the flame war there.

We now know that mine is better, for sure.

This server app seems like one hell of a hoax, you would need to memory edit values to do the stuff it does, and over the net, there is NO way to edit someone else's name, it's impossible. I believe this application is a hoax.

Are there any videos of it? I could fake an app like this with about 4 minutes of using Visual Studio.

I have seen it in action. Trust me it works. I think Rec0 made it.

What happened to "please refrain from posting off topic messages in this thread" hmm? :)

EDIT: I have yet to find a way to turn off the active camo if you activate it with a cheat.

Wouldn't it just go back to the last checkpoint on campaign though? (Haven't tried it in MP)

Say you activate the camo in campaign, but later you want it off. Wouldn't dying just take you back to the last checkpoint, with the camo still on?

Yep, checkpoints save whatever state you are in. Had overshields, hit a checkpoint, died (by Hunters), then restarted and my overshields were still active.

These commands do not sync:
cheat_bottomless_clip <boolean> - Gives you infinite ammo, you do not have to reload.
objects_attach <object> <marker> <object> <string> - Attaches the child object (first parameter), to the second object (third parameter). The marker parameter tells where to attach it to.

Wrong, as a client, you can sync bottomless_clip. Just use your alldev to type in cheat_bottomless_clip 1. If the host turns it off (you will be able to reload) just type in the same thing but add 0. This also works with cheat_super_jump 1/0, so you won't be lag jumping anymore.

What's a DEV command to give the object_set_scale to a player? And how could I make it so that if a players flashlight is on, he gets active camo for a while, and when it's off, he loses it? If active camo can't be turned off, how can I make it so that the flashlight spawns an active camo?

How could I make it so the flashlight spawns a camo, then runs out of power, and after say, 6 seconds, it gets power back?

That's not a dev command. That involves scripting, and even so I think people already tried to do an Arbiter style camo. I don't think it worked, something was wrong.

I tried, it kinda worked, it involved attaching active camouflage powerups to a player, and it got annoying very fast.

I'm having some trouble with the objects attach command. I tried to attach a hog to a regular pelican, but it floats no where near the pelican. I did objects_attach pelican cargo(also tried passenger) hog gunner.
