Intel:
DON'T I REPEAT DON'T EVEN TRY TO RUN SPV2 WITH THESE THINGS

Playing spv2 will cost you a mere 50-80 bucks for a stable frame rate but remember to make sure that you pair it with a good power supply at least 512mb of ram and a good CPU or you might have bottle necks with the high end cards.

Ignore him he will be banned. I do not want this topic lost. Well I have an Intel gfx card. So what do you recommend me to upgrade to.

Yeah I use to have an Intel card and everything was grayed out and I was getting 17fps
I say for
$50 8500gt (combine with P4 or K8 and up)
$80 8600gt ddr3/2600xt ddr3 (combine with P4 or K8 and up)
$125 hd3850/8800gs/9600gso (combine with C2D or Amd X2 and up)

i find that an nvidea ge force 7600 with 256 mb of vram runs halo nicely
thats combined with 2 gigs of ram and 1.66 ghz duel cores (which is like 3.32 ghz in total)
i run halo on something like 1200x 900 with everything on full with no problems at all.......... maybe thats why my computer broke :P

I prefer a frame rate of 60 and up and these configs are pretty good at it

Well all my PC specs are above recommended except my graphics card but because it is intel I always get an average of 30 fps in multiplayer (with occasional spikes) and around 9 - 17 fps in CMT SPv2. Judging by my gfx card I say that I need a new one. I just checked with Best Buy and they said that my computer model could not upgrade because it apparently has no open ports. I now as you guys this. Why can't I simply just free a port by taking out my old graphics card and installing the new one in its place. For some reason the "Geek Squad" said I couldn't do it.

No I only used the campaign as an example of how my graphics card works when there are many particles and stuff. Oh also all my settings are on High.

So the only graphic cards that need to disable decal (but otherwise run Halo at Full settings) is the Geforce 8 Series right?

I take that its the counterpart of the x1100 and should run at 800x600 medium settings decals on

Your cpu and ram should be enough but with your graphics card Im not so sure, you may have to run at 800x600 with low-medium settings but you can have decals.

I have that too. It is the essence of suck. My Game Boy has better graphics.

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT

2046MB RAM

I think that should play the campaign nicely, worked with spv1 reeallly good.

Edited by killer9856 on Jun 13, 2008 at 03:44 PM

Should work fine at 1024x768 all high decals on

Geforce 6200

You can manage all high with decals at 1024x768 but will have stutters I recommend playing at 800x600

That's what I thought, but I ran SPv1 finely though. It's such a good feeling knowing you can actually play something at the recommended FPS.

Did you get this update for colored armor and texturing for the Intels?

http://www.download.com/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-Driver/3000-2108_4-10300119.html?tag=lst-0-5

Better than the newer version with grey armor, but still not the best.

You must have a good computer, judging by all that information lol

Not really my computer is quite dated, its not a dual core, uses ddr ram when ddr2 is the new standard, and pata hard drives
