johnson player model, nuff said :P figured out that you could save envelopes to preserve vertex weights :o allowing me to rescale and posistion bones, then reload the envelopes for a perfect rig. saving mb like an hour of time?

oh and thanks to a shared body, arms, etc i can get rookie in as a player model, and a few others possibly, probably not gunna have dutch or romeo do to unextractable bitmaps (dutch) and missing permutations (romeo)

anyone seen this before?  elites have those wrist E-swords vs spartans and these retractable blades. unnecessary yes but its still kinda cool.

its really hard to make bad shaders with OS WITH ripped content imo. are you editing the specular? if so.... DONT. you really dont need to touch the ripped bitmaps, adjust specular properties and use a different visor cubemap, a more generic one.

what? you serious? i just have basic knowledge of halo ce, and textures in general. i even offered advice -_- generic stock cubemaps are your friend, h3 uses a dynamic cubemap system that ALWAYS changes, hce does not. its better to generalize your shaders for hce. the h3 spartan is almost sole-ly specular, very rarely ingame do you even see much cubemap reflection at all... and you DO NOT have to edit the specular map, it was made that way for a reason... for the visor experiment with stock cubemaps. try b40_cubemap_outside, cyborg armor reflection, forerunner interiors. i find that those do a decent job for visor materials, mess with perpendicular and parrallel colors/strength. add a bit more gloss to the visor's specular settings (increase specular coefficient). @grunt that isnt even a h3 ingame reference, the cc has been messed with, and theres some weird detail map or something over the armor. do you see a cubemap on that armor? NOPE. SPECULAR. EDIT: oh, and the lights are blue friend. Edited by waffles on May 11, 2012 at 09:21 PM
