hey guys, why dont ya add mines to the warthog. yes thats right, MINES! The driver can hit the right mouse button and lay them out the back while driving. And also, dont froget the spirit!

Both operate the gun - keyword: the. The game engine only supports one weapon system per vehicle. Two people controlling one weapon sounds a little annoying, like 2 people flipping thrue the same channels on TV with 2 remotes. I wouldn't be suprised if it lagged, or behaved in an odd manner, because it doesn't make sense

I think that you can add another gunner seat with an object attach script, if I am not mistaken.

On topic, mines aren't really much of a possibility in the ce engine.

mines= possible but the engine works based on a "kill zone" effect... this means that players online get kills by their bullets hitting particular damage effect zones on the other players or at least where the host and client register where players are... this applies to vehicles as well... the only way in which a trip mine may work is if you have the "mine" spit a damage effect which would create a "kill zone" when the players hit the "kill zone" the detonation of the mine triggers... but, like ai, it may not sync

i know this would be very messed up but you could put a kill barrier around the mine so if u go into it u die

main problem with that idea... people die=good... mine remains because it isnt destroyed... somone lines the front half of their base or places them on spawn point=bad

Mines would be interesting, but isn't this kind of extinction? With all the aircraft and little planes?

Unless there are more ground vehicles? But still, considering the size, it would be kind of hard getting kills by mines.

Still, by all means, incorporate it. I'd love to see how it goes.

it woulent be fun though if you just walked into its kill zone then die, if theres mines theres gota be an explosion and you should be able to see the mines so you could avoid them

Small update.

The map will be symmetrical, with the sniper ledges from extinction, two on each side. There will be a plateau like area at each base with a trench running through the middle. A bridge will traverse this gap. The sniper towers will have an entrance in the form of a teleporter room inside one of the cliff walls, at ground level. It will have a circular room such as in b40 that holds the teleport.

The floor of the map will no longer be an open plain. It will have terrain much like a50's. Just more vehicle friendly.

Human side will have a UNSC frigate either floating in the air or crashed on the ground. Covenant ship selection is pending. Most likely a CCS-battle cruiser or carrier.

Vehicles will consist mainly of light ground and air vehicles with some modifications added, but the map will still hold longswords and scarabs, etc. Just significantly less large super vehicles.

If the frigate is floating above the ground then maybe you should have a little camp below the ship for the tanks and most of the hogs


I dont think its that we want the topic to be at the top, its that we want a place where we can talk about the map and get updates from egg
