Moderators isn't always the best choice. You have to know that you can trust them, Which Dennis is not going to approve.

personally i believe that sinned is about 80% correct in his post. I believe their are some smart people in this forum. But i also believe that their are some people that are just being immature. Cause he legally can't make mods out of halomaps members. But Dennis does a good job. We are not spammed like that very often.

this has been stated like 3 times now. dennis signed a legal contract that does not allow non uxb employees to have administrative privileges on uxb servers

I remember he said that before. That UXB doesn't allow him to to give moderator powers to members.

I own and operate a website design and hosting company: UXB Internet. I design and host commerce websites and financial websites as well as general websites for clients/companies. As part of the hosting contract several of those commerce websites wanted me to agree (in the form of a signed contract) to not allow non-employees to have access to my network or administration tools. If I didn't agree they would not have given me the business. Since those clients account for nearly half of my business income I have no intention of EVER breaking the contract. Especially not for a virtual playground for teenagers I don’t even know.

O!!! I get it now, simple words: Dennis was allowed to control UXB, but in order to do so, they told him that he may NOT allow anyone to control ANY of his admin tools, which means he just cant allow anyone to have power, which also answers the question as to WHY we don't have rights here, And if he did add power to ANYONE, they would stop his control of the business, which therefore, would get rid of half of his business income.

True Dennis you don't know us personally but you do know our online identies at least. That of course would not mean you would trust us offline but you got to admit you do know some of us in a sense. I like to think i know you, at least in a since of online.

No, he means that if he were to give someone else admin access, he'd be in violation of the contract that he signed, and thus the people that give him his business (thus enabling him to earn money, because they are using his services) will go away, drastically cutting income.

We don't have rights here because that's how Dennis chooses to run his site.

Even if Dennis could make someone else a moderator, would that really be a danger to his servers, ect. I assume he would have the abality to restrict someone to just the forum. Just wondering.
