Might be recorded animations from either a30 or b40. It looks familar. C10 also rings a bell.

@Rouge, I have started work on the other BSPs first.
I am planning to redo alot of the BSP you see in that youtube film though (and alot has been redone since I posted that vid).

Those animations were recorded animations from some halo level, I don't remember which one I got them from though.

Well hey, if you're looking for some help, I'm pretty proficient with anything HEK and/or scripting related. Hit me up on my xfire for more details. Xfire: darkzealotx .

Other then that, this is a level I'm looking forward to playing.

The bsp was alright, low poly though to me. You should look at some more forerunner stuff, because what I saw wasn't really that forerunner. It didn't have all the stuff forerunner should. The AI were kind of boring, and you should have different people other then spartans. Kinda lost it for me.

If you need some help on forerunner modeling, I can help you out. I'm good at making the stuff you were doing. My xfire is church897

Shut up communist. :P

It looked very well. Some ai should be placed alil differently, but I hope you can continue to work on this.

Very well done. I love the Forerunner Structure also. And I loled at the start. You hear a marine blast a grunt with a shotgun then hear someone say "Oh sorry"

I thought the lag was because of my excessive amount of trees I had placed.
Besides not having portals, the other thing that can cause lag in a level is the number of AI currently being rendered in a scene. Massive all out AI battles even on well portaled maps can cause lag because the game engine is rendering and tracking each AI and all their particles, projectiles and decals. One of the things people do wrong in multiple encounter maps is place and spawn all the AI when the map starts. Even in a well portaled map the game engine must still keep track of them and maintain a status of them even though the player is not anywhere near them.

To minimize lag it is best to only spawn the AI required for each encounter as the player gets to that encounter. If the map is laid out in a logical sequence then the player need not see that the AI for the next encounter is not yet “in game” until he gets to a place in the map where he will encounter them.

Even though Spartans are, in a sense, 'Marines,' you should change their voices if possible. It's strange to hear them talk with the same voices you hear from Marines at the beginning of the level.

This one has my download. I sure hope that the BSP edits that you have made and will be making (?) will look better than this, but I haven't seen very many decent custom single player levels.

The map was not portaled, thanks to this thread, I will portal it as well as I can. .
I look forward to the final product. Even the demo you showed looked quite nice especially for a user made single player level. I am happy to see people workng on original single player levels. There is no question in my mind that they will help keep Halo CE a viable game platform for quite a while longer.

So basically you described the whole Halo: Combat Evolved story, until Master Chief went underground with Foehammer and gets above ground and fights a huge battle instead of going directly to the Contol Room that coulld kill the whole Galaxy?

Definitely the first custom Single Player map that isn't either a bunch of AI in a Bungie level, or a single player map with almost no gameplay value what so ever. Also, sorry for the spelling correction, just how my brain works >.<

I like the basic concept of level, however as has been said above you need to have better ai placement. Maybey throuw the specter into the fight with the wraith. Also at the beginning of the level it would be easy for the player to get lost so just find a way to guide them to the right spot. The areas however, as you progress through the map look better and better, keep it up and maybey add some different music in there for each encounter to make each unique. Overall good work and keep it up!

maybe some brutes?

NO. I am sick and tired of seeing those retarded brutes in every single player map that has been released recently. Those brutes suck. Leave them out.

I am going to be revamping the first bsp. As in better terrain, sexier forerunner structures, and less pollies. Oh and some new structures for stuff =)

L0d3x will post updates when he feels there is a need to update you. He's had this project going for months and never really had updates, if any. Give him time.

Considering that the last post about this map was made in november, I'm guessing this project has been dropped, correct?

That would be a shame as it actually looked like it could have become quite entertaining.

Looks interesting. Why don't you include customized AI? Liek Jackal Sniper (they would have been interesting at the first bit)

Anyway, I don't model very well, so I can't reallt help you on the project....

Dude you know I would help you if I didn't have Community Mod and then Project 2 to take care of. The vid looks cool though. I can't wait to see this finished.

Wow, I realise this is a very late reply, and I was merely browsing old posts in search of a certain topic when I stumbled upon this again.

Anyways, no, it has not been dropped at all. After spv2 is done I'll probably get back on this.

The reason I probably overlooked this post was because I was still in exams at the time of your post.

But SPv2 hasen't had a release date confirmed :|
