Hey guys I downloaded the Bloom effect for CE and it ain't working. I've placed the XML file in the root folder, main DXTweaker folder, and in the plugin/PostFilterEffect folder. I removed the command arguements for CE and I checked "Post Filter" and also selected "Surreal" for the module properties. I've done everything right BUT, I don't get this step:
"Also make sure that the dxdp. files are accosiated with DXTweaker. I've copied all of the dxdp. files in the main folder and in the root of CE.

What am I doing wrong?

Right Click>Run As Administrator

You CAN turn that off. Here's a step by step tutorial.
Start, controll panel.
Go to user accounts. ( then user accounts again)
Then the last option says "Turn User account controll on or off", click it.
Uncheck the box and hit o.k

Bloom's working fine. Just that the loading/UI screen looks like a 60's movie over-contrasted in Photoshop. :P

In short, the loading/UI screen looks ugly.

I'd rather go without than take what you'd bring.

That's not bloom, it emulates HDR Lighting. If it were bloom, light would wrap around dark areas.

...no. Halo CE doesnt use HDRs at all. The surreal effect just lowers the screen levels and de-saturates the dark areas. Ill be working on bloom later once I get into HLSL again.

I believe that the effect of Bloom lightens up light bitmaps and darkens dark bitmaps.

EDIT: Bright, Bright Blood Gulch:

I have 1.08. When does the expection come? At the loading screen? Or when you exit? When you exit it's just obvious. I think your doing something wrong, read the instructions carefully. ;)
