Ok guys , i saw other topics of this! but i wanted to make my own
Anyway this is my error! i get an error that my file = corrupted while hes doing the Compliging Shripts or something...
i donot know what to do
pls some one help me!
i wil upload my map on a site, and pls download it and fix it for me
and if it can make it an .ass to

btw there could be some things with the Bitmaps,
becuase i just reinstalled it, maybe it whas becuase of that or something

What ever site that is, won't allow me to download. Use rapid share or some other site, export the file from max as an .OBJ that way it can be opened in other version of max.

I modified the cliffs completely, making it easier to look at and hopefully cleaned up any errors with the BSP.

What browser you using the link opens fine for me. BSP is the Binary Spatial Partitioning (your level).

Yes you need to import, you may need to flip some normals and reapply materials.

I'm not sure, I would say take the model I sent delete the original b_levelroot and make a new one, relink it then export again. Also make sure all your shaders names are correct and that you have the +sky.

the + sky needs to be Material 1?

a Material needs to be called like this :

f_im panel_e

right?

What ever you set the sky to in the multi/sub material must have the +sky name it it. And the naming convention for the forerunner mats;

f = forerunner
i = industrial
m = metals

"f_im" is referencing the file you took the shader from.

then put a space and paste the shader name. Don't worry to much about directories right now, just make sure your using shaders from the metals and the f_im will work fine.

well,
i used to use version 9
but then i rea all that did;t work out
so i ''downloaded'' a version (i know you may not talk about such things)
and the title sayd it whas version 8 but ti is 10 O.o
and there isn't even a 10 version XD
and i just tryed it all
compiled it
started Sapien
and the file is still currupted :(

I think it has to do with the version of max your working with, I'm pretty sure there's a script for exporting from max 9 it just doesn't support instanced geometry which you don't even need to worry about.

Take the file into 9 and try this script;

Just open the max script window paste the script and press enter should work.

I have no idea, maybe it's just the file, remake the map in 9 and try exporting. I honestly couldn't tell you want was wrong but it's not like this hasn't happened to me. Make a new file and try that if it doesn't work then reinstall the editor. Sorry I can't be more of an assistance.

Don't worry about it I may see what is wrong now. After review the file on my labtop (which I have H2V on) I noticed that your reference sphere was named "B_Levelrroot" which is wrong for two reasons. Don't use any capitals and there are two "Rs" Copy and paste this as the name;

b_levelroot

That is how it should look no capitals! Also it appeared that the BSP was not linked to the reference sphere. With out that link the scenario file cannot be created. Thus when you try to open the file, it says it's corrupt, because technically the file is just a name with nothing in it.

well, it whas the Levelroot, but i allready ''deleted'' the map (not on purpose)
whas an accident :P
