I came up with an idea.

You start as a spartan and then defend a base. Basically its like a dead end in a snow canyon but behind you, is a Forerunner entrance. It has a energy shield so you cant enter.

But in front of the base, a few kilometers down, there is a opening the canyon where the covenant will emerge.

Point of the SP?

Defend the main base.

Whats the base?

Its the UNSC hog factory thing from Halo wars. (Im finishing the model today, ill get a render if you guys like the idea).


So should this be made or is this lame? :o

Would get kinda boring after a while, no?

E1: Mix it up with some vehicles, and some stuff the player wouldn't expect.

Thats the point. Its meant to be 30 min or less of Game play.

There would be a some hogs, and one hornet.
Thats if Doan allows me to use them from H3MT.

Ah, I see. Well, I'd say you could mix it up a bit like I said, bring in something the player wouldn't expect. Make it big, big and powerful.

I think it's a good idea, under one condition, if different events happen at different times, E.G: Marine Reinforcements arrive in warthogs, ODST droppods, Covenant artillery, etc.

Nice model you got there, planning on making it the same size as the one in HaloWars. And will it have and interior section?

i really like this idea. You could make it a bit like one of those arcade games when different waves of enemies come, and right at the end you have a boss (scarab, say)

Is this possible, say your overpowered, could you then call in an airstrike (maybe a longsword, without the nukes) which bombs the enemies in front of you? the airstrike only strikes at a certain target.

perhaps take out the flashlight and put the air-strike in there.

just a suggestion.

Yea, I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Try replacing the flashlight with a grenade toss, and it's annoying, because you tend to hit the flashlight button a lot. Replace the flashlight with a super airstrike, and it's going to become very annoying.

I quite like this idea. I always loved "wave" style battles.

On the airstrike idea, what about a switch which can only be used every 5 minutes? Or only during a big battle?

I dont know any scripting.

I only know modeling and some texturing.
So to compensate with this, I asked L0D3X (CMT AI encounter guy) and he said:

Oh god, that would suck if you could spam that,

and for the flashlight button, mines B, and my switch weapons is Q, so i barely hit my flashlight button.

Carpet bomb, have a switch spawn AI which flies over-head and bombs the main entrance for the Covenant. Or, make automated turrets, just a thought though.

L0d3x is now planning the encounters.. So that's now taken care of.


Also, we decided on mostly marines and some ODSTs, i'd like to see alot of dropship action in this too. -L0d3x idea on this one. :p

I can do scripting if you like :D but i dont know every script that exists. Im making a boarding script. but its still in very pre-mature stages. Ill upload it if i get it done. But it could take up to 1 or 2 years to complete. Like i can make covie dropships land near the base and troops will come out and then the dropship will fly out. and then it blows up from a marine holding a rl etc. and i can make a starting cinematic. And a ending cinematic of you flying into the air in a pelican. etc. my xfire is "masterdandan" (without the quotes.)

Anyway, I like the warthog factory thing, though it looks a little small as of now. So the whole mission will be spent guarding the factory thing?

sorry i was tired when i wrote that ( i still am :( ) i was offering my services for scripting his map. and i think the whole map is spent on defending the base. since warthogs are pretty good in H1. they pwn all. (besides the tank) i looks smaller but not small (does that make sense :$)

You're not the only one who knows how to do this...it's like, almost identical to using warthogs with command lists.


Since you're so confident, why don't you show me one of YOUR dropships running a command list and not crashing?
