If you look at the tabs, and aren't using a 640X480 res moniter, you will notice there is a higher level of detail on the textures at a distance.

it also somehow affects the radar e3po? or is that just the backgrounds doing that?

The easiest way to tell is to look at the cliff to the right in the GIF, or switch back and forth with those images.

Isn't that white ring around the radar that is "affecting it" just the pulse that comes from the radar's center normally. He could have just taken the pictures at different times so the radar looks different.

I dont believe its OS, since Kornman said you cant change anything with the graphics or shaders using OS.
It could be just a replacment DLL hes using in place of a default DLL.

The change that has been made with this seems very insignificant. If I were ingame with this difference, I most likely would not be able to tell any difference with a pic of it before in the exact same position, as you have done.

Yeah, seriously, the only places I could see a noticable change was in the alternating gif and on the first BG pic. Everything else I can't tell the difference.

I say the exact same thing.

But seriously? lol. Is it really not that noticeable? All the screenshots you see where from the same game session, no different map, no new textures, all default. The DLL edits some d3d things, can you guess what they are? First person to guess gets DLL + Sauce. :)

It edits nothing about halo, it edits how it displays data.

So, its not technically editing the shaders or bitmaps.

god christ...

you know what the DLL does? it removes the cut-off of halo's bitmaps, LIKE LODS

there is one for models, but ALSO for bitmaps, so what you see are just STOCK maps,

but with the DLL you'll see all detaill maps without cut-off so it looks like it's detailled, but it's just the exact same.

why does it look correct? because in real life your eyes dont cut if off either, and your pixels do the job already, halo did it to save performance, but it's just pointless at this point, so the DLL only removes that feature and shows all uncut detaills, it just makes it more ugly because the scene would become more crowded because of all the detailled and tons of tiled micro maps and detaill maps.

it doesnt even look that good either, you're just making ALL detaill maps show up with it that normally are only for close-ups, it just makes it more UGLY, if everyone would like it so much, they'd put the micro detail map in the base map with the same scale to let it show up WITHOUT THE DLL there is a reason to put micro maps and stuff, you just f'cked that system up by removing the cut-off distance with that DLL

wanna know the best part? it doesnt work with XFIRE, so screw that fake "tweak" it just renders everything making it ugly and disables your xfire =/

wanna know how i know this all? because i already had it, 4 months ago, and showed screenshots of it!

No one really cares what he did. Hes a little baby and cries about everything. Nearly everything he has made has been terrible. Tool* was horrible, then he cried about how people flamed him and shut it down. Which was hilarious since no one even cared. His Sapien and Guerilla are nothing special, and the surf maps were decent at best. He has messed with you guys in the past enough. Stop guessing.
