ok i was watching a tut for makin a map and in the tut he was using tool but im using tool++. i get what im supposed to do with tool++, but it never seems to work. any ideas?

and yes i realize im a noob to this lol

Well, if Tool++ isn't working with you, you use Tool.

The command prompt version.

Trust me, Tool++ is the worst tool to use, you should never use it.

The command prompt version is better.

To solve your problem, you need to use Tool, not Tool++

It never does the "model" or "bitmap" commands for me, i have always just used cmd.

yeah, only use tool++ for things like level compilation.

because its a cmd application. you have to use command prompt and reference tool from it.

Tool really sucks, I hate it. Sapiens made of win tho.

Go to system32 in WINDOWS directory.

Look for cmd.exe

Copy it and put the copy in the HCE main directory. Open it and type in tool.exe
If a list of commands comes up you did it right.

If what Hogdriver said doesn't work you may have copied a shortcut file, You need the original.
