I know this has been done MANY times, but I just wanted to get your guys' opinions on how I am doing.


I know I went a little bit "inset-bevel" and chamfer crazy, but I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Try and uv it now. I see models being made but then people just stop working on them. Keep going and now texture the thing.

i assume that its a part (sp) where you dont fight anyone. and if its mp that wont be a main fighting area. ;p
its good. Has a good amount of detail for Halo and if you want more just put them in the textures.
looks a little like a sniping area. that would be up high in sky. (oh wai bridges are usually in teh sky ;) )

Nice, for a fast unwrap

i actually think you should add glass instead of the forerunner stuff on the walls, looks more futuristic =P

definitly looks like a good start of an upcoming BSP, or are you just making scenery?

Have one texture for the ramp..Than another texture for the floor..Cut some on the floor so it fits those Cap metal textures and uvw it ..Just an suggestion.

Maybe it could be used to prevent vehicles crossing to the other side and camping.
Only people go through the bridge , there isnt enough space for vehicles.

A good sized mongoose ingame can easily fit that

If there isn't a mongoose then it might work. You probably could also script it so a vehicle on the other side gets taken back.

actually forerunner arent futuristic, their an ancient race.

See the on the sides on the top were the things come and touch the middle part? That should all be planar on top.

I'd consider that to be the creator's artistic interpretation. I happen to think it looks quite nice after the texture job.

I like the way this is turning out, it is a great WIP! Nice model too.
I like it. Hope it will have great gameplay too.

Ok, (ignoring the spamming), I have done a little touch ups.



I dont know if I should keep the bevel in the middle column, and the sides are going to become glass, and CLS, what is ur XF?

To be honest I'm not really getting a forerunner vibe from this. It doesn't really resemble any of the usual bridge structures, or any other forerunner structure either. It looks interesting, but not really forerunner.

I'd have to agree. I've noticed a large difference in the railing, and although it looks nice, it just doesn't have that pizazz.

hey guys, i didnt feel like opening a new thread, and i hope im not "thread jacking?" lol...but i made a sectioned bridge that can be combined to make longer mre complex, there are four sections:

45 degree turn(can be mirrored)(A)
short section(to fill in gaps from using long sections)(B)
long section(C)
"ramp" that's at a 10 degree angle(D)
by color:


pink:45 degree turn
green:long section
blue:short section
purple:10 degree ramp

i am planing on textureing, when im done if anyone wants it they can have it, btw the bridge "lanes" are wide enough for maybe 2 ghosts each...:D

True that should go in the WIP thread but I can see how he can confuse a thread for bridges, Bridge CE, or RJ's bridge so no biggy just wrong thread.

:S Its not hard to make a new thread. This is major thread jack, nothing accidental. Post in the Semi-Offical WIP thread, that is the whole idea in it....
