Cyborg.unit_hud_interface. Cyborg_mp.unit_hud_interface for multiplayer. The directories may differ if you're using a different biped.

Yes the outline should go about 1 point lower than the meter so they end up at the same spot.

You have to reference the new bitmaps in cyborg.biped and hud unit meters.

Click the square with three little dots to the left of the "open" button, and find where you put the bitmaps. Once you find the bitmap (it MUST be within the tags\ directory) double click it and it will be referenced. Make sure to save.

And if you're using a different biped than the standard one, find the unit_hud_interface referenced by that biped, and modify that unit_hud_interface instead.

Yeah, I am having the same problem too, I just went inside my HCE folder, went into tags\bitmaps and then made a new folder called h3mt, and placed the bitmap files in their, opened up the correct unit_hud_interface, and modified it according to the pictures you guys posted, then compiled the scenario in tool, and I went ingame, it had no shield meter.. so is there a fix to this?

EDIT: I think I figured out what the problem is, in the biped tag, there is the section for the hud_unit_interface, there is a drop down menu, that you can select both MP and SP huds, edit the MP one for MP, and the SP one for SP, I will report back to see if it works....

You didn't change the anchor :\

The meter is there, just off screen because the position Y 184 with make it be too high (or low).

Set the top tab to "center".

Also i got pwnt :(

okay.. I did what you said jesse, and set the thing to center, now look at what happens, I can see the shield meter, but now everything else is in the middle, and there is no ammo meters ect.

Here is a image.

How do I fix this? What did I do wrong?

The health meter was originally set to anchor in the top right corner. Once you shifted it to the center, it moved to the center as well. Either get rid of it, or reposition it. I got rid of it a long time ago, and made my visor outline tint the health color.

I have a better idea, I am just going to use bank heads custom hud tags, they look good enough, and they are pretty cool.

a question on bank heads tags:

file_open('tags\<name a damage .tif that you want to use>.bitmap') error 0x0000007b 'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. '

couldn't open bitmap tag '<name a damage .tif that you want to use>.bitmap'.

failed to load hud_globals tag 'ui\hud\default'

what is this and why is it not letting my maps compile :(

You're missing a critical component of the hud_globals. That's why it won't compile.

Uh.. bankhead.. what is your xfire? I need some help with your HUD, plus I am too lazy to install it myself, because I can't redirect it worth a crap. is it bankheadmoney or something like that?

It's bankheadmoney. And it's really not that hard to "install". I believe it's a bunch of TIF files, which you compile in tool. Then, modify default.hud_globals, and you're set.

By making a Halo 3 mod, do you mean filling up a map with H3MT stuff?

You probably shouldn't do that if you don't want to get flamed.

its not going to have a ton of h3 stuff, just the the hud and some weapons. also i dont think h3mt is the only one who makes halo 3 maps and weapons and stuff

H3mt isn't the only one that makes Halo 3 mods and PLOX don't make an H3_bloodgulch for the sanity of everyone here.
