Hello people of Halomaps. I am in a mapping team called Flashpoint Conversion Team [FPCT]. Now our team specializes in making OPEN SOURCE weapons for Halo CE. However, we need some people to help us get these things in game.

What we need:

>Skinners and Unwrappers
>Taggers
>3p Animators

That is pretty much it. We have our own weapon models and the skins itself need to be applied to the weapon.

Current members and jobs:
F34RL3SS (Rigging, tagging, extracting models and textures, 3rd person animations)
Gamma927 (Animations, first person)
UnevenElefant5 (Animations, first person)
Shade117 [Skinning]

So you rip them but you can't rip the UVW's? get another app or source, more games do the exact same models that need little effort to extract with UV's, and i'm pretty sure i could get uv's from flashpoint aswell


about the pics, use urls instead then

E: didn't you say the models were UV'd? Most ripping programs rip the UV's with the model.

i can texture, un-wrap, animate (Fp), & a tiny bit of modeling!
& trust me, im a good texture guy, but a alot of my work are private Because i mainly do stuff 4 gamma n yeh...

Shade, no offence, but you can't just say you can texture and think people will think you can, show work and they may allow you to join.

From the way you are "talking" it doesn't seem like you can texture good as people who are good at texturing don't beg to join, Lol. The team need members, sell your self to the team, but don't beg, if they don't want you and you are good at texturing then its there loss. Haha.

I do not understand at all.

Also Shade, are you good with applying textures to models? We can test your skills out if you can texture a weapon above. Xfire me if you want the files. ;)

I can rip models, from protected maps, not sure about other tags. I'd better make a bitmap ripper. It doesn't really "unprotect" maps, it just rips tags.

Like how I ripped the pistol FP model from the SPv2 beta.




And how I ripped from Paradis Perdu, which is french for Lost Paradise. It isn't really a notable model, though.

Amazing. It's not that hard to rip. In fact, I'm certain that at least 30% of the community knows how to rip. I myself know how to rip. It's just that not many people manage to rip the bitmaps, model animations, and gbxmodels to form a coherent weapon / vehicle / scenery tag. And we're not based on ripping from protected maps, so being able to rip Halo CE maps won't help.

Ripping is easy, believe me i know, i have all of CMT and Zteams H2 tags and levels. Tagging them to work properly is hard and it took me about 6 months for everything.
(i just finished sanctuary properly).

You sir fail hard, anyone can rip, you are nothing special.

Models? easy, bitmaps?, easy. Make your own crap.

I no longer rip because now i can make most of my own stuff and people don't like it, yet i still have this stuff simply because only an idiot would delete these tags.

It is an easy way to use models.... some people aren't talented to model.

As for releases, here is our first three weapons that will be included in it:

>M9 Baretta
>M16A4
>M4 Carbine

For the M4, would you prefer an Eotech, Reflex, Aimpoint, or ACOG scope?

I don't really see the point in having an M4 and M16 at the same time, the M16 will just get chosen more, unless they're on different maps or have significant gameplay differences. Aside from the scope you just mentioned.

Please don't rip from Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis, from graphics at least. Made me cry. Dragon Rising will be more than fine, I don't know how you will though.

That's assuming you're cross-game ripping, though, by which I don't know what else you could mean.

Ehm, why do you even want to Rip the HORRIBLE models from operation flashpoints?



Convert another game like Arma for instance, or CoD MW, atleast get some quality ingame...

FTFY, however you CAN rip the UVW's, you're just wasting time for not ripping the UVW's

Do you even know how 3d applications work whatever you're using? sounds to me that you merely ripped it with a program that converts it to OBJ and f the quality, since you can you want a team =/

learn a bit basic modelling, like uvwing so you can be sure yourself before you jump into the deep.

and look for another game, the game is horribly outdated

Yes, good, but ArmA graphics are just little over MOH : AA graphics.

Actually I was asking the point of having 2 guns which are nearly the same in one map.

Please, it's basically tearing my eyes apart. Oh and that is your hand and your shoulder by the way.


I still don't get the point of having 2 weapons both classified as M16 and son.
