Known issues:
Weapon animations in anything more than 70 FOV is fubar
TOZT-7 flames point down
Fusion Pistol empty reload limit

I helped with the biped. If I remember correctly, I fixed an error that wouldnt allow the model to go through. Dun know if it was the same model.

I've reuploaded a new build of the alpha, for the sake of weapon balance and a few tweaks, including spawning with railguns on the Snipers gametype.

flamer goes way too far, alien weapon needs more ammo, less needles and less explosives. shotgun is omg wtf bbq. host will always win
E: no assault rifle as starting equipment, and less rockets kthx

This is how Marathon was.
Rockets at every corner, shotgun is always omfgwtfbbq and flamer had a 7 ft range.

I forgot to mention, these are the changes from the first upload:

My flamethrower originally had like a 20 foot range. It's fixed now. The flame origin has been slightly fixed as well.

Alien weapon's been modified to be more powerful and have less needler-style explosions and effects.

Pistol and Fusion have been modified to be more powerful, and the Fusion Pistol's projectiles move faster.

Upon release, I will most likely take out the AR as a starting weapon. Admittedly, it's a bit overkill.

Shotgun is not going to change, save for maybe the animations. I may limit the ammo around the levels for it though. The shotgun is a weapon of the Gods.

Keep the ammo all over the place its supposed to be like marathon. it already doesn't have enough ammo lying about the map. if you remember in marathon every step you took you at least picked up rounds for a certain gun.

This is how Marathon was.
Rockets at every corner, shotgun is always omfgwtfbbq and flamer had a 7 ft range.

7 feet is not half way across hang em high. yes, i did shoot at mooks from that far away, and yes i did hit him.

I have to agree i just tested this and the flame goes a bit too far. shorten it's range a little.
And have pistol as starter like the original.

resizing would require new animations though

and mooks, about that, if you scale the shotgun up, you will have to do new animations because the animations have the node's scale as 100%, therefore the scaling will always be 100%.

I'll probably resize the shotgun at some point. I've no problem with making new animations, I was thinking I'd like to remake the ready animation to have that clicky spin to it.

Also, I'm tempted to make the Alien Weapon from Marathon 2, the one that fires fireballs. I believe it's called the "Wave Motion Cannon."

It's just called "alien gun"
The wave motion cannon was something that was scrapped from M1

How sure are you? On the loading screens on XBLA's Durandal, it says "Have you found the Wave Motion Cannon yet?" I assumed it meant the alien weapon. Could be wrong.

THe wave motion cannon was meant for Marathon but was never put in. it was basically a big cannon (hence the name) that blew everything out of it's path.
I prefer that alien weapon to the original.

If you have advancebo, ask him for the bsp and devices, your going to have to mess with the devices activating radius though.

Will do. For now I'll work on little things, like prettying up the textures a bit with some noise+blur to give it them a more metallic look, fixing up effects, that kind of stuff

100% positive on that.
The wave motion cannon does not exist and never did except possibly in early beta tests.
