There was a thread here for this ages ago, but not only is it outdated by now, it's so far back why even bother finding it.

So here we go

Fresh off the press.



































I'm archiving these as a pre texturing history, more so I can look back on them after the map has been painted and prettied up, so don't tell me about trivial prettiness issues, because I probably already know, and even if I don't, there's a good chance I don't care, at all.

Our (Selentic, Massacre, Conscars) goal has been, up to now, game play, which recent competitive tests have shown, is in very good condition, with a few quirks here and there to mop up, but otherwise working great.

So this is where we are now, just before we start prettying everything up. I hope it comes out nice, and I hope that this project gets finished and leaves it's mark on the Halo CE game, and community.

wow this is a pretty cool map.. i love the sky and everything looks pretty cool ..but the sky OMG O: is awesome

probably for scenery ai, like on halo 3, the birds on last resort, those are ai, when u shoot them they die, or like the flood infection types on cold storage, u can see them moving, but you can't see them. Ive always wanted scenery ai on halo ce.

We are going to have AI in this, but as others have stated it will be scenery AI, and will be in areas the player can't reach, as to avoid them causing issues with them.

Not my sky per say, it's entirely conscar's work, the only thing I've done to it is make the clouds move faster :(!

probably flood running on the ring, u can see some flood infections going up the ring in some pictures.


Those aren't flood, those are "builder sentinels" if I'm reading this right.

Wait a second, wasn't this from our days back in Sigma? We had just released Sympathy, and I helped work on one of the earliest models of this, I think I still have it...

E: No, I have some renders, but the .max file is long gone. I might try some more digging, but what am I going to do with it, honestly?

No actually, I've known floyd for a while, and it's no secret that he's a terrible troll, and goes posting this garbage everywhere he goes.

I don't know you, but judging by your response, and your immediate claim that I'm calling you both idiots because you don't like the map, you're not a shining example of humanity's intelligence either.

I could care less if you don't like the map, but if all you're going to do is quote one word posts, for something that at the very least out skies, and probably out models just about everything that has ever come out of this site's forums, then I'm just going to disregard your posts, starting, now.

Right now we're trying to decide on how we want the desert to look, before we do any textures for the terrain, right now it's using an admittedly good texture, as far as placeholders go atleast..

It will be replaced with something much better, but we have to make up our minds first.

In Halo 3, the foam (white water) of the water fall was on a separate plane from the actual water plane.

Also I see something that looks like a Drone.

You're correct on both accounts, if by drone you mean sentinel, and by plane you mean huge piece of cloned water geometry.
