Quick overview:

H3MT (Halo 3 Mapping Team) is a team dedicated to bringing the excellent Halo 3 multiplayer experience to the PC. We are currently working on 3 maps: Foundry, Narrows, and Valhalla.

Foundry (99% complete):
Map is overall complete. We may change textures and fix shaders, but overall, its finished.

Narrows
(80% complete):
After TWO YEARS of on/off work, Narrows is nearing completion! The only thing left to do is a pillar texture from maniac, to put together a skin for the cliffs, polish the skybox (its custom), and do lightmaps.

Valhalla (5% complete):
Yes, I know, H3MT had already attempted to remake Valhalla and it looked terrible. But this time, we have a lot more experience. Donít worry, this will be done a lot faster than the amount of time Narrows took.

Weapons:
The H3MT armory has been made to look and act exactly like those on Halo 3.

Equipment:
All of the equipment you see in Halo 3 will be available in all H3MT maps with the exception of a few due to limitations of HEK.

Biped:
This forum has already seen the ripped h3 master chief in halo 1. I spent many hours increasing the resolution of the h3 ripped texture and have come up withÖ

Additional Comments:
This thread has been locked several times because of how immature some of your guys can be. Please behave.
Also, a trailer for Narrows will be released before the end of the year.

Uh, I honestly don't get why you guys made foundry; it was a map mainly for forge, not for actual gameplay.

I think its an excellent remake of a terrible map :D

well an idea for equipment would be that it shows up in the grenade menu and that if you want to use it you have to hit x

I kinda agree. Foundry was a strange choice on HDoan's part.

usually in Halo 3 there is a place on the base to put the shee on. >.>


The only map with a banshee placed by default is Valhalla, and there in the back of the base, on that little platform.

Valhalla wall. Since HDoan is too busy to work on Narrows... yet he has EVERYTHING, so I cant do it myself... I decided to start on Valhalla.

um... the biped was finished about 2 weeks ago. And the valhalla wall model was made the day before yesterday. The reason we posted old pics was because we had to start a new thread.

by the way, here's followup on the valhalla wall model. Keep in mind, this is not final. Tomorrow, im hoping to redo the base textures and bake an Ambient Occlusion map into the diffuse so that it looks better. But after A LOT of experimenting, I found the best shaders for the job! After thanksgiving, ill start workin on the bases. Hopefully, by then, the terrain will be finished.

Also, it would help if I actually got feedback. What is/isn't good? What can I do to improve? Anything im missing... If I get no comments, I assume that no one's gonna play it once its done; thus I give up.

Looks pretty nice so far. I think the top spire could have it's own texture to match it, but thats just me.
