CE is almost 10 years old and it is very hard to progress by only using Halo's old outdated engine.

No, compiling maps is the easy part.
I am pretty sure i am correct here when i say that Rooster was let down big time by mostly myself and Hdoan.
if we had done what we said we would do, when we said we would do it, then Rooster would be a happier guy and H3mt would have already produced the content that we said we would.
Its mostly an issue of relying on other people who did not do their jobs.

a) We don't have the source code in order to do so
b) It is unlikely that we will be able to acquire the source code

Most likely the team will continue, but the modelers will change. Rooster did a great job with Narrows, but it's easily possible for someone to do Valhalla and other maps as well. As a matter of fact, why hasn't anything on Valhalla been shown yet? I mean, the map is fairly easy to recreate....

I think we'll get back on our feet when Nugget gets a new PC and really starts giving orders.
I think narrows is at a releasable state except for the man cannons, and the fact that i have to re-build the entire tagset, so each weapon spawns properly according to the gametype (shoutguns, on shotgun games, Snipers and pistols on snipers games ect.)

nice, i have a little question, the plasma nade will keep the standard H1 explosion time or you guys will cut it a bit?

do you guys have the modeling all done. cause if so Texturing aint hard. i dont get why all maps stop when ever it comes to texturing. Texturing is the easiest thing to do in map making. Heck its the only thing i can do.

im tired of teams making promising looking maps and justtt about near to completion time they fall apart. if your not gonna finish it please at least release all the tags...

ya, i am fan of CMT, H3MT, ZTEAM and The Firefight portent proyect but all those incredibly good proyects died and its frustrating because all of them were promising, CMT with their new SPV2 maps, Zteam i dont even remember what the proyectwas , and the firefight portent just death.
You guys are the only ones that give me hope to still play HCE
At least you should make a bigger effort to take out those great maps

Also, leyuen, the economy will not effect the release of Halo 3 PC. Sure it may effect how many copies get released, but even then, there'll be plenty to go around if it does get released.

I just saw someone released narrows on h2 (http://h2v.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=2337). Please, if you feel the need to release work without the original creators consent, AT LEAST GIVE THEM CREDIT!!!

I did credit H3MT, Dennis edits readmes in strange ways, also I did ask around and when I released that copy (which many begged me to do) it was not a protected copy (not my fault if it was released unprotected, without decent infos). But more so, when I released it no-one was sure that you guys would ever release or finish. I would not have released it at that time if you all where still working on it, but like I said, the project appeared dead.


"Credits to the original BSP creator(s) H3MT" - in the readme, where it belongs.

I always ask permission before I port, or if no-one is available to ask then I check if its protected, you know like all the original CE map files by Bungie.

Besides my main work is in weapons, you guys have say hundreds to thousands of people who have worked on weapons for HaloCE, I enjoy working on H2V weapons because it is an unknown area where no-one else ever travels and many weapons behave how they are supposed to. Rather then trying to make H2 into H3, I prefer to make it into a mish-mash of all Halos. After-all, they all exist in the same universe and the pretty much the same time-frame.

That said I'm a big fan of your teams work and if you want it taken off of the MonstrMoose server then I'll see what I can do.
