your magnum textures are so dark whyyyy.

As for the map, i'd say to maybe work on the walls and make them more interesting. Right now they're very flat looking.

I kind of like its lack of features. It's fun trying to model the way I do in max2016

cDilla is a 16 bit licence manager, it will not run on 64 bit windows. So you have to FAKE how it works by doing its job for it.

It would be great if they still made 1MB//4MB modchips. Then I could tear these two xboxes apart, take all of one's ram and put it in the other, and flash it with the devkit bios and test those Halo Debug xbes :) Or uh..... actually USE the XDK for the first time in about 8 years(posted here before xD).

My xbox is a dead weight with no bios.

The cliff texture is far too grungy and saturated for my taste. In contrast the forerunner textures you are using feel too flat and muted. Otherwise good, oh and what R93 said.

Magnum fixed, maps at 28 k portalled and I optimized alot, any ideas on how to make them better without teselleting or adding geometry?

If you're mimicking sidewinder it looks fine. If you want something more realistic, your cliffs should change to be less vertical.

longstanding project wip. i have gone through so many revisions its a little ridiculous imo. getting there along with 4 other maps im working on. this being the farthest along so far.

Working on making a biped with as many halo reach permutations as possible. at the moment i'm at 45 perms. what do you think? (still needs a lot of polish though).

seems to be good so far, but i think you should change your cubemap for the visors (if there is one there). It seems way too water-y piss yellow rather than the sort of gold that its supposed to be

A little blocky, I think the cliffs need a little more form instead of being so flat. Nice uv work though.

It reminds me of those horror stories from vietnam of soldiers who would stick their dicks in prostitutes who would put razor blades inside them. At least thats what the top of this thing looks like.

There seems to be some rather blatant inconsistency between the arms and the legs. Its totally ok if you wanna go for asymmetrical design but i'd personally say to keep that sort of "wrapped cloth with metal ontop" from the left arm down to the legs. It might enhance the forms a bit if you can keep the consistency but make sure its belivable.

The sort of ornate parts that go down from the sternum down to the pelvis and wraps around seems sort of nonsensical since they dont seem to be consistent with themselves, and they seem tacked on at best. It seems just a tad bit too busy really. Personally i'd get rid of it and keep the aforementioned cloth and metal thing you've got going on. If you want to keep those silver metal peices on the front though, you could probably place those around the body (think sides of the thighs and calves, and maybe under the shoulder blades) and make it feel right.

Just a few thoughts, you're free to make of them what you will. Also, so its clear, im liking this starting point, but i just have some nitpicks to make is all. I'm curious to see where you go with this.

I probably should've explained it better in my original post. Most of it is still a a conceptual sculpt. And I'm just refining objects as I go. I started on the one arm (didn't mirror over to the other side yet) and am now working my way down the torso. Haven't even started on any of the leg stuff yet. Pretty much all they have is the synthetic muscle undersuit. There will definitely be more to add to it. The objects that seem tacked on are pretty much just that. Just basic shapes to signify I wanted something there. Should have more to show soon to hopefully show the bigger picture!

To any of you that text is meaningless, to me it's worth gold.


I just finished updating JMS+, it now handles non-recursive composite texturemaps which is what adjustant prefers to export as. It will read the diffuse from the compositemap and export it's name, along with a detail map if it was included. It then looks for a bumpmap and if it exists will pull that too.

As I said it doesn't support recursive compositetexturemaps; that means a compositemap that leads to another compositemap instead of a bitmap. Adjutant exports BSP groundmaps this way, but as you need to rebuild groundmap shaders anyway I don't see this as worth adding.


Still adding the support to Fudd, however, for this new fileformat.

Making a lot of modifications to the original concept. But the front of the torso is mostly done, and the back is pretty much just getting started.

im making an enhanced halo ce tagset anti-any other halo philosophy specially 343i halos and reach (even if im using all hr assets). My new tagset and my last cmt mod(the mod i did was a small preview of what i wanted to do-make with halo ce sandbox to enhance it)... my new tagset is the enhanced HALO CE evolution it deserves, since fk h2 and 343i halos... specially 343i ones... h3 and hr were only made to undo the damage h2 did to halo CE's single player and h4-5g are cashgrabe made by haters and people who only care about money,call of duty and pooin the original HCE and bungie saga.

If i join CMT i will try to help to make the TRUE,BEST,MAGNIFICENT,IMPROVED HALO CE EXPERIENCE... i love halo ce more tan any other except the mp since it suckscompared to h3 and even h2 and hr... i dont consider 343i halo's halo games.
