slasher thats looking nice but um.... we still plan on using the textures I showed you? also isnt forruner angles 45 degrees? because if it is I can come up with some cover schemes

That's just due to my aspect ratio. I may need to change it i'm thinking.

got around to skinning some of it. im going to make the ramp bitmaps smaller so its not huge.

If you own Halo 2, then play the level Oracle. The crates that infection forms pop out of when you destroy the crates.

dont do the same mistake I did with narrows. you cant have too many tri's or else u'll get clipped edges!

You got clipped faces not because there were too many but from nearly coplanars.

I will try to look for some pics of these.

@Hydrogen.

I have some bitmaps that we can use for various things. Talk to me before you go unwrapping anything though. I may have some changes that still need to be done as far as the BSP unless you have already done them.

Oh right. You told me that last night. Dur! Well it was 5:00 this morning but still.

I want to make a few custom textures work in here for sure. Original halo textures are really sort of bland and it's nice to see some new stuff every once in a while.

to pull off some uv's I had to delete faces and remake them. then they worked like the stairs did but you gotta make them smaller. :P what kind of custom textures.

Not completely sure yet. With help from Maniac, I have been shown some things to study for making bitmaps look Forerunnerish. BTW, much appreciated Maniac! It's helped a good deal I think.

looks good so far. Though it is a little dark at places..... Unless you wanted the lighting at the tunnels. ;)

Yea' I think we are going to do that.
Slash and hydrogen are still working on the BsP I belive.
Then we all start adding the items:

Weapons
Powerups (active camo and overshield i think)
Senery (Mainly extra cover)
And some of those fancy lights = D

Yes lighting is a must for every spot I think. I want to get some dynamic lighting in there also. Textures are quite bland without bumps.

Speaking of textures. We may be looking for someone who is good with textures and unwrapping. If anyone is interested, please PM me. One thing though. We are wanting to get this map to our populators as soon as possible, so the more time you think you would be able to put in in a day, the better.

yes the passages are dark. but the glass hallway is epic perfect sexy lighting

Granted I like the light like that, I don't know if the blue is just too much though. We'll see what it looks like when we get some textures down there. In the meantime, I need to also figure out how I will be getting dynamic lighting in there without too much lag. I was looking at some other halo maps and they seem to have quite a few dynamic lights in them and I want to try and have a good amount to produce light in all areas like they do.

Why don't you make each part of the level have around the same level of polys. I think this is technically called poly distribution, but I am not sure.

I'm pretty sure that even in halo 3 that room had the fewest amount of polys. Granted, there are probably ways that it could be spruced up a bit, I am not sure his entire plan for the map, but I have full confidence that it will come out looking nice.

As their green even when your a red spartan on red team.
Its probally possible I will look at the tag in gurilla and mess around with some stuff.
