...Provided we all recorded in ventirlo with us all together, and that I wouldn't let anyone touch voice acting with a regular mic I think the voice acting is going to be ok.

It really isn't that bad sound quality, you can understand right? Btw what Mic do you use Dee cause in this and in your tutorials the sound is really clear.

It's kind of weird watching an awesome looking environment (bitmaps and shaders and all that) and then having all these original fugly halo 1 classic things in it. at least fugly in my opinion.

Looking good, I love the enviornments. I agree that the voice acting of the campaign needs to be better, though.

On a side note: You bashed CMT's campaign, but you forgot about mine. I feel belittled.

Its just animations that are animated around the bsp.

You export them into a models_animation tag, make sure all nodes are lined up between them, and then you use the command

(custom_animation <unit> <animation_graph> <string> <boolean>)

starts a custom animation playing on a unit (interpolates into animation if last parameter is TRUE)


Make sure to use 0 (I think) as the boolean, so that the animation doesn't get all messed up.

Just import the BSP from the OBJ file, from BSP Converter. Do not move the BSP. Then just animate your objects on the bsp. Then when your exporting, hide/delete each seperate object, so they export separately. Like if its theres a warthog, and a marine. You want to export the marine nodeset animations separately from the warthog nodeset.

It's not.

If you watched the vidoc, the first thing Mass says is "We know what elements we are going to work with before we even are ingame or modeling the bsp".

All of the encounters are built around this, and there all built around class assets. Throw a custom weapon into it, it breaks those assets, becuase the player now has the possibility of using that custom assets in that certain encounter, and that encounter was not built around it.

Basically, it's not a good idea in our case.

Maybe custom animations? Dunno, Lodex already told me about the balance and stuff and how a stronger/weaker version of the weapon (i.e. H3 AR and H3 Magnum) was not designed for the encounters and such, but it'll still look better if some stuff is different. Reanimate everything :P
