Alrighty than! After 4 long years of rough times, Helipad Studios will be releasing all of its information, some will need tobe dug up from some friends, such as some scripts, and techniques, but as for models, vehicles, bipeds, maps, and textures, they are all going out for download.

I will be setting them up for download over the next few days, posting the links here as they become available.

Helipad Studios is reopening itself!

NOTE TO HS MEMBERS (senior members and workers): I had told all of you this was going to happen with all of your work, so any work you have done specifically for Helipad Studios will be released onto Halo Maps for download!


Now, these downloads will include screenshots, maps, vehicles, bipeds, textures, bitmaps, audio files (music), compositions (music sheets), weapons, models, concepts, and more.

Ripcord (Finishing the programming: Description; reverses any encryptions added to maps using HEK+, and can encrypt individual tags; Note: Will be open source).

My testmap is 10 tri's and it works fine.

It was our very first map, and it was done quite wrong, but has nearly 30 of the original model rangers (high poly, 50K+ each, it was fixed later on, down to ~6,000 now), and our old conversion which is a rally truck with around 30K+ poly count, and there was 30 of the rally truck too, and an old ship model). The BSP has no texture, and you can fall off the edge of the map into nothing, its very old).

Well, its an odd map, its not the BSP that has the large poly count, its the stuff on it, the map itself is flat and blue!

hey man go ahead and release em as long as gta gets credit for original vehicles and i get credit for madmax'ing em. be glad to have some of my stuff released, hell release the tags for em if u want. :P and i remember the blue ranger. i could run it fine and does it still have the super torque and collision issues? or u fix those

all of ehm have physics issues, but we were never done with the testing to get that far =P

u gonna release the vehicles as their own tags as well or just leave em in the maps? and too bad we couldn't fix those pesky collision issues. hit me up on steam i think i have an idea

Releasing the tags in packs, 1 is the GTA Conversion Pack, the other is the Modified version (with the modified vehicles)

well since ur finishing it off for halo, maybe we can work on it some more for the udk or crysis? hell finish up fixing the physics in halo and reuse teh stuff for other games/engines?

Talk to Cody about that one, I have the models and information, he has the Know-How =P.
I have only used HEK once. I just managed, informed, tested, and planned the projects =P.

anything gta related is fair game, only things i cant release are the ranger and the coronet, everthing else is ok with me, altho, i might make a "public" version of the ranger someday, (lower polys)

well, this wont be the end for stuff i'll be making, right now im workin on a project thats based in a different part of the country, large deserts arrent very intresting after all...

kip is helping. this new project is not done under helipad, just as a map between me him and who ever helps

its like a HS garage sell, we ran outa room to work so were releasing all the unfinished stuff. seems like the more i dig, more stuff i find, i still gota dig threw a few old hard drives from old pcs i used
