I know the issues with the first sandtrap release, and i must say i've gotten alot of feedback from players and modders alike.

One of the biggest issues was the constant exceptioning of the map.
This has been fixed. It was caused by the map being (a ridiculous) 160+ mb, forcing me to use Tool_pro, and as many of you know, that causes issues.

People complained that the spartan lasers were respawning much too fast, and they were in high abundance.

I changed the re-spawn times from 120 seconds to 180 seconds.

Rocket launcher re-spawn times stay at 120 seconds (cause there is only one.)

Spartan laser sound issues have been fixed.

Biped has been changed to Brandon's mark lV biped.

Mongoose has been changed to Matooba's.

Ghost has been changed to a CMT variant using Veex's textures, and my shaders.

Globals weapon issues has been fixed (spawning with odd or no weapons.)

Added a bubble shield courtesy of beach Party.

Hammer is going to be on the map, currently using H3MT's as a Placeholder with permission from HDoan, but the model (then animations) will be changed.

Elephant vehicle has been added.

Brute shot has been fixed (it was totally crap before.)

Wraith will be available, as well as the scorpion.

I will be using a new, fixed version of the sandtrap BSP, but only when it is completed (it is still being re-unwrapped.)

I have gotten the map filesize to be 124 mb, and thus removing the exceptioning error.

An invisible wall has been added (on the new bsp) to prevent stragglers.

There will be a secret room, though i will not tell where it is, or what is in it, and if you think you know, well you're wrong because everything is subject to change.


Credits have intentionally temporarily been left of because people will be tl;dr.

The thing i need is for crimson to log on, accept the new bsp model, run lightmaps, and send to me.

It uses the space of a regular halo level.
the bitmaps were a ridiculous size.

I've been wanting to re-animate that laser for decades...give it to me, bored and have nothing else to do.

Also, hate those Plasma Pistol animations. There's an origin for one sitting on my computer right now but it's using the Halo 3 Retail rig so, unless you plan on changing the rig her- hell, I'll just freakin' give it to you because there's no use in being selfish and keeping it, Spartan_094).

Jesse is currently using the H3R Rig, as is evident when you look at the shotgun animation's fuxed thumb. Also, talk to me on Xfire; I'll send the models, since I was the one to give to Jesse. If Jesse is online and I'm not, then ask him.

As for the H3R Banshee, Jesse doesn't seem to like it much, as the banshee was originally ripped solely for him.

I have some advise about the Wraith:

-Make it's mortar explosion radius larger and just as damaging as Halo3's.

-Darken it a bit; it doesn't look menacing enough. >:D

-Either make the twin plasma turrets on it useful or remove them and place a passenger seat where the Wraith's Defense Turret normally would be.

-DO NOT MAKE IT HAVE BOOST. It's only an annoying feature in HCE and is pointless to have without hijacking.

-Make sure it is a default vehicle.

Better advice:
Remove wraith, replace with chopper.

The spartan laser on the ground looks really small , fixed?
Ghost shaders look too bright , fix?
Turret needs textures , fix?
Weapons spawn areas and placement , fix?
Grenade power and pistol power , fix?
Possible to fix equipment to flashlight , will you do that?
E: Forgot , shotgun textures , fix?
E: Weapons selection , more?

Really everything, at first I had thought it might've been the beta rig because MY thumb on the plasma pistol was messed up, then I just remembered those are the old animations and the newer one is using the retail rig and is better.

Speaking of which:
Try to ignore the odd specular, was just messing around. Origin is subject to change I guess.

Um dude, news flash I don't keep stuff anymore to myself. Daerp. Not to mention jesse is using my retail rig from the fp arms, and I am doing new ones for him and will release it with my h3r spartans.

Also the PP model has flipped faces.

The diffuse is blue, as in ODX's picture, but the one Jesse posted a screenshot of is purple because Jesse demanded it >>

Well, the model does look pretty bad.
The terrain needs a major overhual, and the shaders of alot of things look horrid. You may not care, but I think theres alot of people out there including jesse who actually does care if the map looks good.
