Welcome to "The Land of Hyrule 0.3 (WIP)"

Q: When was this started?
A: About 2 years ago.

Q: When is this coming out?
A: I am not sure. It will be done when it is done.

Q: Can I help?

A: Because it is made to look like the game which is an old game.

Schweet dawg, you should recreate the start menu along with it's sounds. I don't mean the items menu, just the GAME OPTIONS and all that in the OOT menu. But seriously, has anyone planned to make or IS planning to make a Zelda OOT UI to go along with this project? Oh and if someone DOES make the UI please don't make it something rubbish that took 5 seconds to do in MS paint. You would need to rip that rotating sky background from the original game, along with the sounds and the interface itself. I think it would work really well if someone put their mind to it. I can't make it because I have no experience at designing for a UI or ripping from a console game.

i can maybe do that if 0.2 is unprotected and give it twilight princess hyrule field music.. ui as in main menu right

Yeah, you could use Twilight Princess background music but I'd prefer it to be all OOT-ed up.

Hopefully. I really want all the areas to be accessible, but that might be a bit hard. Notice how in OOT, places like houses, tents and Castle Town are meant to be 'realistic' when you go inside them? This means they have to be made completely custom to be playable, otherwise they would look weird, if you know what I mean.

I was playing 0.2.1 the other day and I realized, "There's only 2 vehicles on this map..." Maybe you should add the light brown horses at the ranch and Ganon's horse. You should also make the horses able to jump. About the video, you might wanna make the grass ever so slightly darker and more blurred because it looks a bit brighter and sharper than the original OOT. And if you look closely, the paths are floating about a cm above ground level! Both of those would be easy fixes. Also can you blur or 'blend in' the paths with the grass? At the moment they look like brand new sand.
Don't forget to add the trees, the spiky grass, the bushes, the boulders, the rocks and the signs. I wanted to ask, do you think it would be possible to make the radar a map like in the game?
I also think it would be pretty cool to add the secret room at the back of Lon Lon Ranch with the cows in it. You could probably make the cows as moving scenery. They would sync over the internet better than ai would. Just a thought though. Sorry for long post, I just want this map to be the best it can be.

Wait, is it going to be connected with different areas like the original?

I thought doing so was waay to big, and it was nearly hard as hell (for me) to find other players, even in a 16 player match

Well, the idea is that the FULL Ocarina of Time is being re-created on the PC to be played online with up to 15 other friends. If you JUST wanna play the field, download Jahrain's rubbish Hyrule Field alpha.

You could just make the water still, and not be moving. Unless it's a waterfall, in which case I don't know how to help.

I tried adding some nice fog to the water so it did not look like a hollow moving texture but... The fog extends across the whole map. Which means a river that's above another part of the BSP. If I add fog to that then it goes all over. I tried to portal it off but it did not work. Does anyone know if there is a way to stop it?

Well there's kind of teleporters every where in the game. Unless you have a different definition? My definition is wherever there's loading to a new place.
ex:hyrule field to the ranch, but there's not a teleporter in the map for that.

Yes when that happens in OOT that will happen in Halo. Its the only way to do some things because how things fit together. So I think going half way is just dumb.
