can someone plz make a halo3 frigate map for me and my clan all of us wanted a halo3 frigate almost like the one on rpg beta 5 but halo3 and the two odst hev pod areas with it so if anyone wants to make one for us plz post your message and i will get to u when i can ty and plz help.

I had asked OpsY (who is the designated "author" of Sanctuary_final) if I'd be able to use the pods' script in my new map I'm working on, and he said that they were 017's. So, I'd ask him about the pods part.

The frigate I might be able to help with. I'm not sure, though. What's the intended purpose of the frigate in the map it's going to be in?

You asked for the pod more than the script if I recall... I guess I could give the script out, it's kinda easy to understand. They are Me_Ks' work so he gets all the credit related. Also, the script probably needs some optimizing and even cleaning as there is an embedded ''Vehicle respawn'' script in it.

I did ask for the pod more so than the script. ^^; At the time I didn't know there was a script that went with it. 'Cuz I'm stupid that way. :P

hmmm yeah well the ''launch script'' is what makes it work, it deletes the platforms, makes sure the respawn works and also ensures players are ejected before respawn

He isn't asking for a halo 3 map,he is asking for a Halo CE map,but a halo 3 frigate in it.

The Halo 3 model for the frigate looked slightly messed up when I looked at it... patching everything together also presents a suitable challenge for one that wants to spend the required time flipping all the faces that are wrong. I guess there's an easier way but I do not know of it

% doesn't increase rendered polys. It just makes the faces double sided for collision. That way its collideable from both sides. Its used for collision, since a ladder plane has open edges. It can be used in BSP's and model_collision_geometry. The only thing that defines if a face is renderable from both sides is in the shader tags, where you check on the flag "two sided"

Is it that simple to fix all the crapped out Halo 3 models? I understand there are others tweaks to do but for the faces flip, hmm..

Its not hard to flip the faces.
When you first import the halo 3 model, first thing to do is flip the faces, don't weld them yet. To flip the faces, its easier to use the Elements Mode (Cube) in Editable Poly, since the flipped faces would be a separate element from the unflipped faces.

I tried that but I did not see any difference in selection options. Are you talking 3DS Max 2010, or any version of Max?
