I'm making the mute city track from f-zero X but because the halo engine doesn't support loops I put a teleporter instead.

I wanna make at least 10 f-zero cars or 16 if it's not too long, it takes about an hour per car because all the models are custom and not ripped.

Up to now, I made 3 cars, pico's car,James Mccloud's car and Biorex's car

You can use your weapons in all cars and you spawn in a armory with these weapons:

H1 shotgun
faster H1 needler
H2 dual magnums
H2 battle rifle
brute plasma rifle
flamethrower
H1 plasma rifle
H2 beam rifle

EDIT: I need help with the music because it doesn't work, I know my sound is the problem and not the map because I tested it on another map and it didn't work

UPDATE!: red gazelle done I will post pics when I have the time.


to-do list:

-blue fire for the reactors

-at least 5 other f-zero cars

-find or modify a sky for the map



I will maybe create other f-zero maps after this one,you can vote for your favorite track but do not request an impossible track like devil's forest or sector b those have too many upside-down roads and loops.

I thought about making firefield or red canyon.

IMO, you might want to add a tiny but of chamfering to the edges, so it doesnt look so aliased.

but apart from that it looks really cool!

dont worry about the music. any real fzerox fan has the sound track and can play the music through their favorite media player

Maybe I could change the sound of one weapon but not all because it's too long XD.

@abkarch: what is chamfering?

take an edge, and spread it out so it looks smoother...hard to explain.

this should explain everything


also you may want to play around with it a little bit. use it on vertices and on different edges to see what kind of effects it has.

if youre talking about natural tunnels, like rocks and cliffs, you might also try the cut tool out. its located a little further down from chamfer
E: you could also remove the picture from that quote in your post, seeing as how its rather long and is present in the post right before yours. less confusion

There is no way to make a hog do the 360 loop in the track, unless i am wrong.

@donut: thank you for showing me, I always used face mode so I couldn't find this tool

I think i will move the squares on the start up a little bit so they will look more realistic.

EDIT: nvm it's too long because there are at least 50 squares

Is there really no way to make a loop work? Even if you've got like an insane downhill for velocity and then a small loop?

i thought you could do something with the gravity. remember how on the maw you couldnt run up those steep slopes but the hog could? maybe you cant go completely upside down but im pretty sure you can adjust the angle in the physics file

I tried to make the loop smoother but there is always a point where the vehicle can't climb anymore because it's too straight and it gets stuck at a very slow speed trying to climb even if it has a insane speed. And I checked in the physics but there is nothing to adjust this. I think only the speed and the angle matter.

My vehicles can climb on the loop untill the angle is smaller than 100-110 degrees and the're about 10x faster than the ghost.

BTW,UPDATE!!: falcon punch added to all weapons,it wasn't as long as I tought.

I have a problem. I don't know how to create a blue flame for the reactors. Can someone tell me how ?
