Hi everyone,
This is just a simple retexture of rpg beta 6.2, using texmod. I got the idea from this thread: http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=34546.
My retextures are nowhere near as good as SorrySoldOut's. But I'm just doing it because I'm bored, not because I want to make Halo loads cooler.

Screenies of progress so far:

Alternative Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?11fhfhu5p14q0r1

Please note that the download might go temporarily unavailable from time to time, because Megaupload is annoying like that.

Instructions copied and pasted from a Guildwars guide for texmod, and changed to suit Halo. :P
To use a mod you will need a .tpf file.
Run TexMod.exe.
Click the big folder icon in the Target Application section and select Browse. Find your Halo Custom Edition folder and select your haloce.exe. Switch to "Package Mode". In the "Select package" section press the small folder icon and find the .tpf file you want to use and select it. And then hit run, if all goes well your mod should work. Enjoy.

Download texmod from here:

I'm Jaz. Not Jazz. Me and Red Jazz have already agreed on that matter. He's the only Jazz with two Zs, and I'm the only one with one Z. :p

Anyway, I'll add more screenies to the first post now. I took 38 of them last night, but had to get off computer afterwards. Sorry for the delay. Of course, I'll only post the decent screenies. No point posting screenies that show what's already been shown. Lol.

P.S.
If anyone has some high quality textures I could use for walls, floors, weapons, or whatever, please pm them to me, or post them here.

For anyone that doesn't know, textures are just picturs of any format, usually bmp, which can be used to give objects in a game colours. I can convert files to bmp if your files aren't bmp to start with. So don't worry about that.

Your ships are made of wood, your pelicans of stone and bases of sheet metal.
I find that funny.

Hmm... Do I have an answer to that? Yes.

1. The prowler's floor is made of wood, and ummm... one, ships can have floors made of wood. They'd just need some good protection for the roof. They don't necessarily have to be made completely of metal. And two, I can't help that. The prowler's floor shares it's texture with other buildings.

2. I've been thinking about changing that actually. I know it looks slightly ridiculous, and I'm going to change that. Be patient. This mod isn't complete.

3. Again, this mod isn't complete. The new texture I have for the buildings is way better, and looks a lot more military like.

I only have to change the pelican now. The screenies you see on this thread are old. The new textures I've now finished today are much better.

EDIT: I've finished this mod. I'll post the link once some of my friends have tested it. It's not as good as I'd wanted it do be, but it's as good as it's going to get for now, as I want to move on to retexturing other maps.

Lol Red Jazz has always hardly ever been online. Anyway, back on topic,
any comments on this mod from people who have actually bothered to download it?
