Don't listen to Microsoft. I'm using windows 7 right now and was just playing Halo ce a few minutes ago. Try to install it first and if that doesn't work then come back and ask some more questions.

CE works on my windows 7 x64 fine, so it should work on any other machine. If not, right click the shortcut for Halo CE, and click on properties, then do this:

But that shouldn't be necessary.

I can run CE fine without checking the stuff in the Settings section, but I guess they help 64-bit systems.

It's a just-in-case. Almost everything works with those settings enabled (or in this case, disabled).

Why doesn't it work on Windows 7? I'm using Windows 7 x64 right now, and I can run Halo just fine.

Im running Windows 7 x64 bit and there are no errors. Can you elaborate on the issues you experience when trying to play?

I didnt set anything unique for my CE, and it runs on my win 7 64 bit system.

Try running the compability with Win XP Service Pack 3..?
