I think its time we make a list of it all. post what you think or know of no one has done.

- a custom multiplayer map using halo 2 tags and art style that plays well.
- A new flood form (fresh idea) and im not counting adolifs flood idea..
- A flood firefight
- a good campaign with replayability.. (not mods)
- a fixed working engineer (by that i mean actually works not like odst)


list some things u think hasnt been done below

Well, I'm making halo 2 firefight. If flood gets in it , then you can cross two things off your list.
But people don't want flood because they're "not fun to fight" and "boring". :$

:P because u guys have no creativity with flood... u can make it fun if you know how to (where shadow slayer with are example)

I don't think anyone made a map which was started from a box, then the faces where flipped and the vertices were randomly moved around such that; vertex 1 is in position (-81,956,-77.258, 0.0): vertex 2 is in position (39.016,-53.77,27.606): vertex 3 is in position (-67.213,28.197,0.0): vertex 4 is in position (38.016, 28.197,0.0): vertex 5 is in position (-50.809,-40.385,70.82): vertex 6 is in position (45.851,-82.715,70.82); vertex 7 is in position (-49.012, 93.252, 70.82) and vertex 8 is in position (66.832,-36.338,100.456).

I'm not entirely certain if anyone has made this, but I highly doubt it. However I could be completely wrong.

I agree with hydro on lumoria, it's a great map, but there is no replay ability there.

As for a flood firefight, me and Joddy might be working on one using a custom bsp (You'll never know XD).

Lumoria isn't a campaign yet. Its just an SP level for now.

Just because I lost the .max files for the BSP (corruption) & somehow lost the .map file in the process (:/), doesnt mean its dead. It could be H I B E R N A T I N G.

how about getting it out of their heads that you can only make Halo stuff in this game?

there's a disturbing lack of these guys in game, especially considering the three factions... the Halo engine would be beyond perfect

The factions are about the same, but how would that make the engine well-suited for it?

protoss have energy shields, zerg are spastic and rushy.. the engine is capable of these with it's stock AI. a talented enough team would be able to made a decent starcraft-based map

Ah I thought you might have been talking about something else which escapes my thoughts at this moment, but it wouldn't have exactly worked out as well.

I find it to pretty fun to replay, it still gives you options on how to engage most of the encounters. I'm not going to say it has the best replay ability, but it has some.

The problem is a lack of talent to create the content, see some of us have really good ideas for new content, like my idea to make an entire SP map using Dinosaurs as the enemy AI, I rigged the T-Rex and all that but lacked any animating talent. When I showed the community everyone was all like "That's awesome, what a great and fun idea!" but no one wanted to help despite my pleas.

@higuy yea it does have somewhat of a replayability but not locked in. the reason why i play bungies orignal campaign is because the ai always act diffrent when I play lumoria they are always the same for me even if i switch up how I fight.


also flood tank = not new idea... (halo 3)

I made a 2 flood pur forms from scarch.
Im alson trying 2 make a new flood form, but its hard 2 make good custom sounds... =/

My Firefight was the best one I had seen... It's more of a l4d style though but it was fun... just unfinished because the map I was using was pretty painful to use ai on.

I made a campaign with replayability, since it has almost 10 endings and several hidden easter eggs. I personally think my campaign is good, but if you're saying it's not I'll let you have that point. lol. But if you haven't played it, you should check it out.

In e60, there are a couple engineers that fly up for conflict and blow up when shot. I personally like them better than the ones in ODST, since that was my least favorite Halo game.

As to what hasn't been done, I want to see a good sp map with a scarab or mythos.
