Hey guys, its me... again...
I have two questions. FIrst- are gmax and 3ds max the same? Second- for 3ds max, is it autodesk 3ds max? |

Gmax is Basically a much more limited free version of 3DS Max. 3DS Max is made by Autodesk and is rather an expensive application.

But you won't use most of the features.
The main differences are that Max can render, and the exporters (for max 8 at least) can export more things (bipeds, maps, vehicles, etc) than gmax exporters. There's also a couple of missing tools that make modelling a bit more time consuming. |
