You are irritating, I'll release nothing

Because I care about you guys being informed :)

That's the banner, of course.

You can see that I need to work on the water fogging.

That one lets you see some of the backdrop geometry.

Although the lighting is bad there, you can get a good look at the base geometry.

That's the lake geometry. It was in progress when I built this version of the structure geometry, and by the time you read this it's probably more hi-poly.

So yeah, if there's any part of the bsp you would like to see so far, please ask. I didn't want to waste too much time on these uploads.

Firefight bsp, still lacks sky shaders... Haven't done an ingame or sapien pic of it yet, so... just want you guys to know it's textured.

The h3ui will be updated in that thread sometime. Still scripting when I'm not working on valhalla.

Lol, because I'm a really mediocre shaderer. I was trying to get some custom snow bitmaps going, actually.

If the water geometry isn't completley planar, you won't be able to get fog to work.

Your best solution is to create a copy of the water geometry and move it slightly under the water geometry. Give it a see-through (not really see through) texture/shader. I had to do this in Lumoria.

Also, your cliff texture tiles way to much, and get a good ground texture. You may want to split the ground texture up into a second material that has the alpha as a rock. This way you can use 3 different detail maps and use the same texture, just 2 materials, and they all blend.

Since everything I've heard about this map project is crying about the shaders, I would appreciate your help, or work, on the ground and cliffs. If you have the time to do this, please do.

try giving the shaders a lightmaps brightness, and parallel/perpendicular colors based on the colors of light around them.

I can try to get a better wall for you from my friend rooster if you'd like.

He made a texture (And I guess what looks like a shader) for it. This was from a while ago, but it looks pretty good.

Well, it's pretty much more detailed than mine. IF he wants to give it for this project, then yes.

it's pretty high-poly

no moreso than anything you'd find in games five years ago, unless that wall's horribly subdivided and not at all optimized

Hint, H3's Valhalla is actually not on a Halo. It's on the Ark.

By hi-poly I mean more detailed than mine. That's a good thing. Mine lacks some of the metal pieces from the top. You guys should really try and find something meaningful to say rather than look for flaws in my posts.
Edited to avoid further confusion.

Lol out loud, moose! You know what, I think I'll export the sky now... just for you.
Thanks for the comments about the base, I hadn't even realized it was so close to the original.
There is a new xfire video, Valhalla 0.3, if any of my friends haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, I'll definitely use that song in there somewhere. Not throughout the entire thing, though.
Still working on those darn skies! Valhalla and the firefight need custom ones.

bases look awesome, the grass mite be a little bit to green and it mite distract from the rest of the map, the water looks pretty distorted, i don't know if it's like that in halo 3, i haven't paid attention to it in the videos i have seen. i do not have halo 3

Time for me to contact people about shaders.
