So this is my first evening this year off of work, so I actually have free time to come visit and see whats up here. Any cool projects going on or people who have joined?

Every things going fine here. Lumoria got out. It's an okay original SP game. A lot of people have joined recently. There's always about an average of 5-10 people joining a day.

Any thing new with you?

Also are these really the new SPV2 betas?

They look like they are, but pre-H3 builds. I have no way to test it but if they look like they were uploaded by polar bear.

I plan on uploading my entire CE tagset soon, along with maps.

I been working as manager at the new Target Mobile kiosks, so I actually need to get my windows PC running as theres some Android and WP7 hacks I want to install on my phones that require windows.

Well looks like all the old guys are coming back. You know i really didnt have much respect for you but you did one thing you did keep the name Custom Mapping Team, now it's Community Mapping Team. I liked your name better.

Cool, so does that mean we get the rest of unfinished SPV2 betas then? What can we expect to see?

Also once that's done, do you plan on taking up any small projects? Or are you just going to move on?

people still trying to recreate halo 3 stuff. practically every other thread has been one of the seven million "---mt recruiting" threads. soviet got banned for stealing a successful artist's images, photoshoping them and claiming it to be his own.

so basically, not much is new

Well if you do things right you really won't need the other HEK. CMT needed it because most of the levels reached Halo's tag space capacity and what not, so having that little extra room made it easier compile.

Speaking of more content, what exactly are child scenarios?

child scenarios are scenarios used for data you want in both map files, for things like scenery in b/c40

if its the "rocks" thats all we have. theres a lot you can do with atmosphere effects though

Here's something new. Lodex and I were working on a project, it was pretty cool. Then he went on to Lumoria, and put the project on the shelf.

I hopped onto a new team several months later, seeing if we could put ideas together (nothing ever came of the team either way) and get something out the door. We 'worked' on the project for about 2 months, then it died away.

Some guy went to Higuy and tried to get him to model a level for us. Well Higuy talked with Lodex and then all of a sudden Lodex started telling me I stole the idea.

And has been trolling me ever since, because somehow his name disappeared from our design doc.

And so that's the current Halo Drama going on.

Edit: Oh, and ShadowSpartan showed off more awesome things in H2V that never got released. He also made a live tag editor, and people got pissy, so he didn't release that either lol.


Editx2: I think I'm the only one who's seen what he's done in h2v so yeah... nvm that part.

Me and Rambo had an app that increased the maps file size, nothing to fancy. talking about that i really should get working on that map. lol
