I have a project I am working on for the HCEC, that I let lapse for while but am now continuing, and I could use some assistance. I am looking for a scenery or device object, it is just for scenery, that is a cryotube with either a marine or bridge/engineering crew member inside. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You can always import the Halo 1 Cryotube and a marine model and stuff him into the cryotube assuming that you have the required tools to do so (3ds Max/Gmax, Gbxmodelimporterv2, Bluestreak/blitzkrieg)

I'm not sure quite how to do that. I don't believe that the person inside the cryotube is not a real model.

It looks like some sort of bitmap. I say that because the chief is missing his head. I can't be sure though.

Does it need to be collidable and be rigged so that the hatch opens and closes?
Also, a crewman, marine, etc are all the same difficulty, which would you prefer?

Nope just a closed Cryotube with someone other than a spartan in it. It doesn't matter really who, just a clean non-helmeted face will do quite well. I assumed that a scenery object would be the easiest way and it is not for game play but to as a background to a scene. Thank you.

For whomever asked, I don't model but am familiar with the use of the HEK tools.

Also now that I think of it does anyone have better ODST tags than these: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3983 I have used them but they are a bit monochromatic and look fairly dull in a Covenant environment. for this project it is mostly about looks.

That's the H3 one from here. I guess it's better looking than the other.

Also, may I ask what the project is?

Mooseguy has some nice ODST tags with ff_descent but I don't think you want to wait that long...

Apparently it uses the same shaders as the escape pod, so you'll need those as well as a few other shaders (detail strips, cryo glass, and face_matt). They are all stock, but if you don't have them for some reason you can find them all in a10. He's also grey because the color change for the crewman bipeds occurs in the actor variant tag, so there's not much I could do about that.

E: also the tags go in scenery\cryotube\
