Im thinking going prone is implementable, but how exactly would you do it in the best way possible?

You would make all the animations for it, make a new stance/seat in the cyborg's animation, and then use the flashlight on/off and unit_set_seat stuff in a script.

Do that stuff, but have it take the place of crouch.

Sounds interesting, I was thinking of replacing the jump animation with a prone, but i guess it wouldnt popular if i took away jumping abilities. Is there away for the crouch button to have multiple functions (crouch, prone, then stand) like in COD?

I am not sure if will be successful then, See, i wanted to make a better soldier(nonspartan). Meaning able to have the ability to sprint, walk normally, stand, crouch, and go prone .

Then this:
1) Animate/Model/Texture everything first (as well as anything I missed)
2) make a script for going prone
3) replace 1 original function for pronw (eg. Flashlight [Most preferable], jumping, zooming etc.)
4) test in game.
5) if errors occur, go back to step 1-4 , if no errors, proceed to step 6
6) release it in a map :)

About Halo: If you want to add a new function such as going prone or some other function, you HAVE to replace an original one. This works particularly well with vehicles because the crouch function or the reload function would have no effect :)

Flashlight makes the most sense. Crouching requires holding a button, button tests like zoom don't work well, and we need jumping.

Yes, i understand the flashlight is the best choice slappy, but i wanted to save that function for sprinting. Looks like I will have to rethink this again. What is more valuable? going prone to be sneaky, much more accurate, and possibly more ninja? OR spriniting to cover better ground, quick tactical retreats, and extremely awesome mad rage charges toward the helpless grunts?

How about the chat option? (even tho it doesnt work with single player, does it still work) or the switch grenade option (Have only 1 type of grenade in the map). Both dont sound bright but they're ideas atleast

Something tells me the chat button is completely irrelevant.

If you were to use sprint, do crouch or zoom. Crouch you have to hold down to use. Flashlight toggles on and off, so I think it makes the most sense for prone.

Ok, is there a way to set a sprint meter bar to limit on sprinting? or should we keep it cod style?

If you were using the flashlight for sprint, you can use the flashlight meter as the sprint meter instead.

As for prone, if you could use one of the text buttons, I would suggest the vehicle chat button (H), as almost nobody even uses it.

Does vehicle chat even work in sp or is just mp?
