HALO 4. START ANOTHER FIGHT.

Not much is known from the information we have at the moment, aside from the fact that it's a whole new trilogy, starting after the end of Halo 3. If you beat Halo 3 on legendary, you'll know where the game starts.

New information on the game will be coming later this summer at Halofest, which takes place some time in August as a part of PAX.

What are your thoughts on this?
Personally, I think it could work, if done EXACTLY right. Halo 3 had an ending that could be picked up from, if it was necessary. I also don't think this game takes place immediately after H3, but rather after a span of a few months. It would be a little unfair not to give the Chief a break after the first three games.

Don't be so quick to judge. It was a cutscene. Also, I noticed that the colors were kind of washed out like CE. (and reach, unfortunately.) We've got to hope that it's a good game.

Or we can just look at it for what it is, another cash cow milking.

That was awesome. I'm really looking forward to this next chapter. Only question I have that is related to canon up to that point:

WHERE THE HELL DID CHIEF GET THE JETPACK FROM?!

It was probably build into his suit (That flashlight part) as seen in the video. But probably only usable in zero gravity space?

And the jetpack is probably built into his suit and only strong enough to push him around in space. Anyone ever hear a mention of one in any of the books, ect?

I don't trust 343i with making an entire TRILOGY for this at all.

Ugh, there's goes the Halo story and the Forerunner story...

As long as Greg Bear or the novel writers (unless it Nylund, the Graphic Novel writers, Halo: Revolution's writers, Deitz, or Staten) than I'm not worried about the writers. Why are people acting so dramatic about all of this?

I'm trying to figure this out myself. A new game is announced, and suddenly everyone starts freaking out and saying it will be horrible without either trying it themselves or seeing any gameplay. Gamers can be strange.

Go look at the footage from the Halo CE remake, and then complain about Character design. The helmet, specifically.. It looks like those old video demo's from the mac version of the game.

Also, try to remember that this is CGI.

i just watched that one... reach assets in a new engine with poorly designed custom assets... i know its only pre e3 but im just nervous that they will screw up... i dont mind the classic chief. but it definatly doesnt fit with the rest of the game.... they did decent work on reworking the levels though...

Can't compare because those were prequels.

I'll just wait and see. Awesome to know that the CE remake is coming, though. And that you can switch to the original version at any time... also awesome.

They best be man enough to use the engine for cutscenes like Bungie. CGI crap is just all fake, gives you a false impression on the game look.

Halo4 is gonna be sick! To bad I dont have an xbox, or xbox 360, Only halo game I have is Combat evolved for PC and CE lol.

THIS. It's freaking CGI. Plus, it's not like the way the armor looks will impact the game or even represent the game once gameplay is revealed (in the distant future). It's more or less just a teaser trailer that has little to do with the schematics of the game itself.

@Delicon: Did someone shove a pineapple up your ass? MC and Cortana were heading towards a PLANET for goodness sake. Why wouldn't there be a Giant Forerunner Structure?

...which they now just completely killed. Honestly, I thought Bungie ended Halo beautifully (TWICE, Reach's ending was brilliant as well!) with the "Wake me, when you need me," and the set-up for Cortana and Chief drifting off through space or something for "hours, days, years even" yet here 343i just raped that whole ending by having him wake up a few minutes later.

I'm honestly horribly upset about this. I know it's just a game, but this is a game that has a fantastic story and I don't want that ruined by some greedy idiots milking the franchise for Microsoft.

This upsets me.
