Are you going to be tagging the M16A1 (automatic) or the A2 (burst)? Because I rather enjoy the former...

Ahem, battle rifle? Just do a normal firing animation like 1 bullet, the tagging does the burst firing.

IMO Auto is better than burst anyway.
I might make a version of it, eg, the scoped version.

Looks awesome.
Also, is that the same model used in black ops? cause that is kinda funnily low poly if it is.

It is. 3 things. 1. CoD HAS

*HEAVY* usage of normal maps. That and the game engine draws it 3 times. But yeah.
Most of the detail is in bump mapping.

Hmm, Its not really MODERN. You shoulda used Modern Warfare models. Because, like, that's actually modern.

Why don't you use some Arma II models? As far as I know, they're the best modern models I can see.

most of these weapons are 40+ years old, the m1911 is almost 100.....

I don't think any of the weapons listed are newer than 1980

id call anything still used past vietnam era modern. though i still love black ops and other cod weapons. i guess it depends what "modern" means to people. im willing to submit a wwii mp4o weapon (it needs fp animations.) if anyones interested in cod weapons. that indeed was also in black ops. (for resnovs "mission" capturing stiener) anyways. i love mp40. have airsoft one. plan on getting a magazine pouch set soon :)
if anyones interested in this post me a message.
just give me credit for the model. it took a hell of a long time to get the weapon to even animate. thanks.

the models of the weapon are not "modernized" therefore this wouldn't be modern.

AUG still looks the same really.
1911, too.
FAMAS got reconstruction.
M16 is still similar.
M4/Commando is an M16A2 anyway, also slightly similar.

Aug still is different and has different things on it. I've held an aug and it's the main rifle used in the Australian army.

New Zealand and other country's have different augs with different things.
Here's some of the variants ( found these on wiki btw)

It's changed slot since it's prototype stage so Uit would be unfair to say it looks the same.

I also think you should finish animating the m14 and not just do origins before starting a new gun

Christ, will you guys stop arguing with him over this? He is making a black ops weapons pack for CE, it doesn't make any frickin difference what he calls it!

Problem being he keeps on insisting that weapons not used for 30 years is 'modern'. There are reasons the game was called Black Ops and not Modern Warfare 3, one of which is the weapon set specifically made to resemble those used in the Cold War era. Certain weapons like the AUG or AK-47 are in use today, but most look vastly different than the ones made for BlOps. I myself have no problem with a weapon pack like this (rips notwithstanding) except he won't admit that these really can't be called modern weapons.

Also 297, th e M16 went through DRASTIC changes, in the Vietnam war US soldiers would ditch them in favor of AK-47s left by NVA. The same could hardly be said today considering the A2 and A3 variants.

For the love of god child, it doesn't matter, he can call it the stone age weapon set if he wants to, its not that big of a deal.

It is 279.
And I am talking mostly about /Cosmetic/ changes.
And I would not say Vastly. The AUG (A1) looks generally the same

also, vote.
