i have so many tags going into my tag folder i dont even know what to do with! i even couldnt compile a model the other day because of how much stuff i had! so, basically im making a thread to get some of this stuff out for you guys to further your modding, whether to help you learn, give you a much needed model or texture, or just to have something nice. :P
this doesnt mean i wont come back to my favorite WIP thread from time to time, so dont worry. :D

just to note: i will not be releasing everything you see on this thread. due to, either I want to keep them, they arent in a "releasable" state, or if they are a gift to or from someone.

i will also be happy to answer any questions on any topic that i can to the best of my ability. whether its about shaders, or functions or whatever.

i also do not expect any flaming, nor anybody going off topic. but if it comes to it idc if the thread gets locked up. so ill do my best to behave and so should you. :3

guess ill start with some small shtuff and a release.







in order from post.
flood tank form, shaders are decent enough xD

lolabunny from space jam :3 she was very very high poly inb4 compile. i got her down to 8000 poly's :o still alot. but nothing compared to 32,000! shtill needs better smoothing on hairbow thingy, and teeth. but afterwards shes done.

and the extra low poly zombies teddy bear from WaW i believe.

and finalized xbox healthpacks if anybody wants them...

its the lightmaps i swear :o

i moved him to a brighter area. and i believe the cubemap is too strong period...

Flood tankform looks fantastic! Is it rigged and animated and all that? (forgive me if you said this in your OP, feelin' kinda lazy atm :p )

as i am horrible at rigging, and ive never attempted animation, lol no. hes just a scenery tag right now. but im hoping someone might give it ago when i release the files. he does however have his original halo 3 bonesets... i dont know anything about custom bonesets in halo ce. soooo. yeah xD

what animation set are you gonna use for that tank? custom, hunter or...?

im definately not gunna use a pre-existing animation set... theres no point... the model is way to big for any current bonesets... id love to have someone try making custom animations... but we have no 3p animators anywhere... i might take up some animating one day though.

also, i extremely hate rigging. xD



to-do
-fix wrist weights
-fix thumb weights
-new shaders
-fix uvw stretching in-between fingers

and this may get released and updated quite a bit. also didnt attach the plasma pistol model to the scene for time purposes. (default plasma pistol pose)

if anybody wants to help with the wrist add me to xfire :who1fe/waffles

also, ive decided to at least get 1 release per week. and ive decided to work on xbox stuff twice a week to get that stuff going along. wednesdays and fridays. so look foward to updates those days on xbox stuff.

now on to...

UPDATES

Xbox halo ring

finishing up ring shaders, to be final. the last release wasn't as accurate as this one, as i now have solid references and better put together bitmaps.



^^ yes the inner ring has a green channel for self-illumination. needs fine tuning for pc though.





to-do list
-work on inner ring shadow shaders, and inner ring shaders.

fixed from last version
-from the last one i did, i noticed i made the shader 2-sided for no apparent reason.... fixed that quite easily.

-kept the original xbox multi, and made it usable for pc... instead of the custom one i did.

-fixed inner ring shadow's blending mode. before i didnt know much about blending modes..

-fixed detail maps blending modes.

Xbox Assault rifle

reworking the assault rifle shaders... which had been much brighter in the multi than i had thought... basically done... just need to get tags together and upload.



also on view are the fp arms shaders. that need work on the rubber shaders.



ill get comparisons up when im done with all the shaders. thanks to my new tag setup, that is organized and easy to look through unlike before xD

ive got a few things to post today... so lets get started.

RELEASES

--Xbox halo ring shaders--

after staring at my halo xbox on the tv screen for like half an hour, im happy with releasing this as a final set of shaders.







i toned the green channel down just enough to not blind anybody looking at it, but left it in to make the earth and clouds stand out still. fixed the inner ring shadow, and made it darker as well.

--h3 flood tank form original rip, and compile--



got the tags together to release. so have fun!
the max files are 2011 format. i can convert if needed to obj, dae, or otherwise any other format. and please let me know if tags are missing or out of place so i can fix them! i get messy sometimes!

somebody requested a new one from the only other mauler on halomaps. so im doing this. i dont have illumination just yet. i havent looked or played at halo 3 for a while.

im getting better at rigging. it isnt much of a pain anymore. doesnt mean this rig is good though, its a wip.

also wanna say if you have windows seven and cant view .dds files in your explorer.
this is a nifty program to have...

i was working on flood tank anims like ages ago but i just made like 5 or idk and then i stopped because it was bored.. i made 2 idle , one walking anim, one or two ( but the second wasnt that nice ) meele anim and for some reason a beserk anim

from the hrh spartan. idk if it was leaked or something. but people knew about the biped being on the "ivory_tower_final" map. i created some crappy normals but i still think its sexy.
and hurray for viewport shaders!

and im almost done with the mauler...
