Is this after you updated? I'm only guessing here, but Kornman probably changed the pp coding and messed it up so that VISR's run through polies rather than outlines. Dunno though.

Yeah, I got a little bit more framerate lag than with the old one, but not much. The framerate performance should be boosted a little, but it is still a good update.

I completely deleted and uninstalled everything in my halo folder, it was totally blank, then started again by installing Halo CE 1.00, then the 1.09 patch, then OS 3.03. Yet it still gets the gathering exception data message as soon as the start menu appears when i run halo. I'm not running xfire or any other programs for that matter. Any idea what's going wrong?
E: didn't actually reinstall PC, only CE, so imma try that.

I do not have the time to try out OS3, but I am grateful that korn continues to supply the modding community with the necessary tools to keep this 10+ year old game running like new.

-decals on non-bsp objects, such as bullet wounds and injuries
-separate first and third person firing sounds, so that a gun can sound different in third person than it would in first

I'm fairly certain adding seperate first and 3rd person sound effects aren't possible in a weapon firing effect, because while you can add SOUNDS, you can't designate them first or third person, like you can particles. to further elaborate, you generally add sounds using the "parts" section of an effect tag, which gives you the option of many different tag types to be inserted into "events" while this allows you to choose from locations (primary trigger for example), mode types (violent or nonviolent), and the atmospheric environment (such as underwater), there isn't an option for third or first person use like particles. go look for yourself if you don't believe me Edited by Delicon20 on Mar 1, 2012 at 11:15 PM

is the coding for "shader_transparent_generic" still in halo ce? the tag itself is still in guerilla's tag lists, and even opens up fully with all editable tag data. did gearbox disable this shader or break it for a reason?
id realllllllyyyy love to have this shader working in halo ce. tons of new shader effects (namely animated plasma) could be possible. the actual shader was in halo 1 xbox, and was used on the jackal shields and the shield doors in a50, and a lot more actually. would it even be possible to "re-enable" it?

Waffles, get online, ill show you what I was able to dig up about those shaders (which is very little lol, none of what I found seems useful..) Kozakuu, after following whatever jaz said, do you have any text? (since you mostly seem to be worried about your kill text lol). Does the text work without OS? I know the FoV (at least did in 2.5) can change the text location, when I had it running at normal halo FOV, the text was in normal places, but when I changed it up it moved to my side (where OS defautly puts it for me) so I could see that possibly having an effect.. I'll try to locate where OS has the chat text moving code at some point if you cant fix it, but if your still having problems, post it in here.
