My single player map is finally getting to the point of almost finished so I decided to create a Work In Progress thread until it's released.

What version do I get?

-YELO versions. 1 yelo file. No mid-map switch. Includes Halo 3 dialog for covenant.
-MAPS versions. 2 map files. Mid-map switch. Standard Halo 1 dialog for covenant.

-CE3 Edition. Includes Takedown: The Introduction (Re-Release Version).
-Stand-Alone. Only includes Takedown: Project Lawson

"The mood, look and atmosphere is great" Masterz1337 (Co-Leader of CMT)

Takedown: Project Lawson is a single player map based off the an extended version of the Danger Canyon bsp, as well as some custom BSP. It features complete cinematics as well as a variety of gameplay situations. You (Karner) and your partner Kadar infiltrate a rouge Spartan's organization. This rouge spartan (Lawson) thinks you are joining his organization. As such you are sent on a mission with him. Get inside this forerunner structure and find what Lawson is so eager for inside. The estimated playtime for this map is about 30-50 minutes.

You should go all out and use Sauce, especially with all of the Halo 3 content being used.

Anyway... this mod looks pretty great. If you've set it up well, Danger Canyon's a brilliant choice of bsp for a campaign mission. I'd love to see what you've managed to do. :)

Anyway, I just watched the gameplay demo. That AI-driven warthog looks great!
Any chance you might possibly make a new map sometime in the future with an AI-driven pelican, allowing the player access to the turret(With the rear-turret pelican variant)?

This please. Even lacking the turret, if you used one of those Pelicans that lets a rear-facing passenger sit in the middle of the floor at the back of the Pelican, you could give them a Spartan Laser and a portable H2 machine gun turret.

Agh! I've already thought of doing that, just not in this map. :| You guys steal my ideas lol Don't expect it in here. All the gameplay for this map is pretty much done. Just mainly cinematics left.

Imo it speaks for itself that people have their own opinions about Sauce, no need to go editing their posts to make them look dumb. There's reasons not to use it, and I am personally also not a fan of it. This is why I told you to shut up.

For completion, here's why I wouldn't use it:
- Needlessly complex documentation to get started
- Non-optimised performance, being more laggy then cryengine for me (though of course I don't expect 1 man to make a superior "engine" than an entire time, but doesn't change the fact it can get quite laggy for plenty of people)
- The default HEK and Halo style looks great either way, having that special old "charm"

The reason I bluntly told you to "shut up" was because you don't seem to learn from your past mistakes on this forum. You don't exactly stand out in being an exampe of good posting, not that I am one myself, but it doesn't mean you can't improve your own posting!
