Bottom line:
Takedown: Project Lawson will not being using sauces of any kind. I was thinking about topping it with Honey Mustard or Sweet n' Sour, but decided to drop that after I encountered my monitor getting all sticky.

Open Sauce is extremely irritating, i can reason with him on why he'd prefer to use the original engine. And i'm not saying open sauce is bad, it's just really annoying and sort of a waste of time to use; Unless you really need something that's not in the Vanilla Engine (switching skies is my favourite part of OS).

Sauce would also be pointless for me. Anything I wanted to do I can do using the original engine. The only things I can't is just a lack of me being lazy (ala not wanting to animate or model) and not because the engine won't let me do what I want. Using Sauce would limit my audience and add unneeded complexion to the production side of Takedown, that is already about two years in. Sauce works for CMT because they have it in mind when creating SPv3. I don't. I don't plan to.

Exactly, and Open Sauce is just more work on your plate.

Indeed I extended danger canyon.

Latest build; fog added to water. If still to bad I'll do something about the shaders sometime whenever


I plan on releasing the bsp as a test map when I'm more happy with it myself for feedback

Can I recommend something ? CHANGE YOUR SPARTANS BIPEDS. They look cartony, simple gadjet, they look like stupid teletobies in da ground.

And OMG your jackals look like the news powerangers !!!! CHANGE THOSE ARMOR COLOR please !

Also the extension of dangercanyon looks realy sexy ! Keep it up :)

I always do like bright colors in games. It's vary rare to see such a thing. My style. Though not everything will be all so colorful.

And borruin has been checking out the bsp and helping to improve it

personally i think it would be awsom the way dratt does it his style might be different but the maps his made are awsom and bright and like lumoria for instance the campahn was bright and fun and a bit emotional towards the end so i think dratt's style is the best style for campahn maps and i also think that take down project lawson will be awsom maby even better than lumoria so dratt i just want y to know i support your ideas 100%

Your project, your style, I understand that ! :) But if we want the game looks a bit more real, make different real color, like dark, or dark green (like the orginal h1 spartans), for jackals i think it's just the reflection, I'am not sure. Also it's all your idea and your project, stay in that way ! :D

Bright Colors stay cause I love the bright colors. Halo 3 was my favorite Halo for its graphics (Not Favorite halo, but favorite Graphics for a Halo Game) because they were bright and vibrant and not dull and bland like they were in the other Halo's especially Reach's color scheme.

I find bright fun, because this is the future, and when I think of the future I think of it being very bright, colorful, and just super awesome.

Halo 1 was pretty bright.
You don't even need the flashlight unless it's pitch-dark with no light at all.

Yeah bright color, not happy color, that different ! :) Did you saw a marine with an orange equipement ? Or a very shiny green color ? I don't speak about that again ! I will stay here :)

Also about sauces as discussed before, since all these BSPs are taking up space, if I run out of tagspace and have to split the map into 2 separate files then there will be a OS and a non-os version. Both being the same except the non-os would be 2 .map files. I cannot confirm this since I haven't run out of tagspace just yet but I still have another bsp to get ingame soooo

And about the released date, it will be in CE3 2013 this year. I can't say if it will be released at CE3 or after because honestly I'm not sure yet

And that doesn't really apply,since I'm judging a single animation,not an entire project.
