So I wasn't going to make a thread about this since I didn't care much for the map, but the ratings on Halomaps show that people enjoyed it to a point, so now I'm just wondering what could have been better? What things do I need to improve on as a map maker and any other feedback you guys have I can take

(If you say Voice Acting I'm gonna kill a puppy-VAs in Halo can ALWAYS be better because no one is professional here)

Voice acting......

Nah, just kidding, the map was great for what it was, an introduction.
However, you could have made better use of music to create the mood.

The mines. You could blow up without stepping on one or while in midair just because of the size of the trigger volumes.

Yeah I wasn't sure how that part was going to go.

Was it to easy or to hard. Some people told me it was just fine as it was so I think I got an okay mix but the beginning could have been easier

I played the map. It's pretty good ! The one little thing i don't really like are the voice actor ^^. And change your biped tagset, except the hunters and marines, all are not good.

I liked it a lot. A little short, I have to say, occasionally I was killed by my own allies. I know it was supposed to be short, but I mean, you only had to move through two encounters.

The landmine part was a little too differicult, I found it killing me multiple times when I wasn't even standing near them. It really did kill the atmosphere, when I died seventeen times trying to reach the end.

Over all, it was fun, I played it about 4 times in a row. Great job.

it was pretty fun but the tagset is a lil weird, mainly cause the tags don't seem to match up well with one another. It reminds me of how most tagsets were before the entire sets of cmt, halo 2, and halo 3 tags were out to the public like they are today. IDK if you're going for that sort of retro tagset style? But it would make sense if you are because your main map takes place on Dangercanyon which was a singleplayer map hotspot in the past.

Takedown: Project Lawson will be out soon after Lumoria.
Takedown: Extermination (Continuation of Project Lawson) will be out 1-2 years after Project Lawson.

I'm a professional voice actor to an extent because I worked on several movies, albeit they were small movies.

Indeed.
Project Lawson starts Slow Bullet as Lawson, Hiralis as Karner, Temptii as Kadar, and Higuy as Nova.

Extermination (I plan to use custom BSPs!) will star the same main characters as Project Lawson but there will be a LOT of open parts.

map was awesome, my only two concerns are
1. the marines in the gauss hog shooting at me when i was fighting the covies under the bridge (stupid Ai)
2. the mines exploded if you reached just a little bit, i know it should i've been this way, but come on, i didn't step anyone and i exploded out of nowhere.

The mines definitely needs to be improved.

Why didnt you lake a kind of biped based on the floodcarieer exploding when something approaches ?
Always ask me when you have that kind of issues, I can find solutions. Shhhhhhhhh...

Nah man, the mines helped to keep to the dark mood feeling of the mission after he got injured, and it was a good challenge.

Great map considering it was only aimed at being a short introduction.

Only issue is that the marines in their vehicles didn't appear to help at all. They just stayed at the back and appeared to shoot into the air.
Most irritatingly, they didn't help with HUNTERS.

This is probably just an AI issue though.
