Disclaimer: Adjutant is not a Halo modding tool. It is made to be used for extraction of Halo3 and Halo: Reach content to be used in Halo: CE and Machinima.

New Features:

-Added sound extraction
-Preview sounds before extracting
-ToWav is REQUIRED for .wav extraction and previews
-Read "Raw Extractor > Sound Extractor" in Help for more information

General:
-Plugins are now external
-Download plugins via the Tools menu
-Added ability to view strings and locales of a map under "View" menu
-You can now see the current Adjutant version in the top right of the window
-Added tag search box under the tag list
-Status bar will now show status instead of filter
-Added a progress bar to the status bar to indicate when maps are loading
-Changed settings screen
-Added setting for plugins directory
-Added new options
-Moved all checkbox options to a list
-Smaller layout
-Filters are now separated by a space instead of a semicolon (;)
-Batch extract will now output number of tags extracted and time taken
-Batch extract will no longer extract "error previewing" images
-Batch extract is much faster
-Added Help menu
-Removed "About" screen - information is now in the help file
-Removed Debug menu in Tools because it is no longer needed

Meta Viewer:
-Redesigned to more closely resemble Guerilla
-Added extra options to controls
-Double-click on stringIDs to switch between string and int
-Double-click on rawIDs to switch between int and zone index
-Right-click on tag references to load that tag's meta
-Right-click rawIDs to dump raw
-Note: double-click and right-click only works in grey area, not in the textbox

Bitmaps:
-Fixed bitmaps that were only showing the top half
-Fixed some multi-bitmaps showing the same image for each index
-Fixed A8R8G8B8 cubemaps
-Fixed A8R8G8B8 DDS exports being the wrong colour
-No longer need to deselect "Linearize" on some bitmaps
-Reach bitmaps will show the proper "Type" now
-Image previews will now scale to fit on the screen better
-Added "Show alpha" option to show/remove alphas
-TIF bitmaps will extract without alpha if this is unchecked
-Removed "Size" from the detail list
-Removed advanced mode
-"View as" option is now always available
-"Linearize" is no longer needed
-Changed how bitmaps save
-You now either save selected image, or save all images
-To save as raw or DDS, change the filetype in the save dialogue

Models:
-Fixed sky models not working
-Fixed models not loading when a permutation has more than 65535 vertices
-Updated EMF script to 3.3 to load permutations with more than 65535 vertices
-Fixed parts of some models not having a rig
-Permutation list will no longer show permutations with no geometry
-Recursive bitmap extraction is now threaded and much faster
-Moved "select all" and "select none" to right-click menu on the list
-OBJ now extracts as a single file
-Permutations are selectable in the import dialogue in 3DS Max

Model Viewer:
-Better general performance
-Added back-face materials again
-Permutation list will no longer show permutations with no geometry
-Default camera position will change depending on model size
-ie: when viewing weapons the default view will be from the side
-Permutation list will now show previously missing pieces as "Unknown"

The test parts of Kornman's BlamLib have some code for bsp and sounds extraction, but I can't put it into Adjutant. Also I'm not sure if that code is complete. The only people I know who have Halo3 animations are Zteam, but I don't know if they have an actual extractor or where they got them from. Those who are waiting for sounds, animations and BSP will most likely be waiting a long, long time. I don't know if there is a program to extract these, but if there is it will most likely never be public. As far as I can tell, if there ever is public extraction for these, it will likely be from Kornman as everything in his opensauce and BlamLib is public. Back to the question though; no, I doubt I will ever have animation extraction.

I was planning to, but everything with that kinda blew up. Honestly, I doubt I'll ever get my hands on the code needed for it. If I ever did, it would likely be under the agreement that it be kept private :/

If someone just happens to have a copy of HaloDeveloper.dll which has sound extraction methods, then I can put it in. Other than that, it's beyond my skill.

You should keep searching for it then. This tool would be a very unique one if it had it. If theres another program that does have sound extracting capabilities in it, could you link us all too it?

I've been searching since the first version of Adjutant. The problem is that these things are strictly private and it's hard to find someone to even give me information let alone give me the code or tell me where to find it. And as far as I can see, this tool is already pretty unique. It's the only one with its feature set, which is large compared to others. And I don't think there are any programs with sound extraction, if I knew of some I'd link you.

Has anyone tried the download? Any feedback? If you need maps to test it on PM me or add me on AIM or Xfire.

The only way to know for sure is to look at it in Visual Studio or something. But a good indication is file size - the bigger it is the more there is in it. The biggest one I've seen is 113kb, but it didn't have the extractor.

It's a library containing lots of functions for opening and reading Halo3 map files. It was made by one of the original creators of Alteration.

I used one that came with Darkfall. I decompiled it and customized a lot of it, but I'm not good enough to add sound extraction to it. The one I have only has model and bitmap extraction, the same as xTraction, and what looks like the beginning of work on sound. The 113kb ones you see in Google look to be the same as the one I used, only slightly obfuscated.

i tried to extract some textures with the program, but some of them cannot be seen, it says "no preview available" or "error previewing", and when i extract them it says that i can't be opened because of a problem with the interface module or something like that, it only happens with SOME textures, not all of them o.O

I know where in the code the problems are, but I don't have the knowledge to correct it. I'll have another look on Sunday night.

I've tried. If you know someone who has the programming skills and knowledge of how Halo works (and probably has a devkit) and is willing to help for free, let me know.

No, sorry. The DLL's were either out of date or the same as the one I used. Also not all UI bitmaps can be extracted, but a lot can be now.

a lot of the ui ones in the mainmenu.map says error previewing can you fix that

Those ones error because they're in mainmenu.map. The library cant read that map properly when looking for bitmaps, so there's nothing I can do to fix that, sorry.

I don't know what causes it to miss the leg armor vertices so I can't fix that.

Yea, I still wish I could get more though. And not just bitmaps either. The only people I know who are capable of doing the missing bitmap types, models and sound extraction are either not contactable or unwilling to help.

I did contact ShadowSpartan, and I have no contact for ChokingVictim. As far as I know ShadowSpartan isn't a programmer, but I could be wrong. If anyone did give me sound extraction or even animation extraction if I got lucky, they would more than likely want me to keep it private, and I would have to honor that. I don't leak.
